New to Grow
I have been practicing for over three years, in addition to two years of practicum experience, and I hold a Master’s in Social Work. I am also nearing completion of my Doctorate in Social Work. As my ideal client, you are someone who recognizes the challenges you are facing and is motivated to seek support, guidance, and resources to work through them.
My approach is intentionally structured while still feeling conversational and collaborative. I work in a way that is formally informal—grounded in clinical frameworks but delivered in a warm, accessible manner that supports comfort and openness. My work is deeply client‑centered, meaning your goals, values, and lived experiences guide the direction of our sessions. I rely on evidence‑based and person‑centered therapies to inform treatment, while ensuring the process feels like a genuine partnership focused on meaningful change.
As a mental health professional, I have learned that in the journey toward growth and success, most individuals experience some degree of failure or disappointment along the way. These moments do not define who you are; what defines you are the steps you take afterward, the choices you make, and the resilience you build as you move forward. This approach works because it honors both the science of mental health and the humanity of each client. It creates a space where you can explore challenges without judgment, learn from setbacks, and build the confidence and skills needed to move toward meaningful, lasting change.
As my ideal client, you are someone who recognizes the challenges in front of you and approaches them with honesty and self‑awareness. You come into the therapeutic space ready to explore your concerns, clarify your goals, and examine how your current mindset shapes both your struggles and your strengths. You understand that the journey toward growth will not always be easy, yet you show a genuine willingness to walk that path, even when it feels uncomfortable or uncertain. Your openness to seeking support and engaging in meaningful work reflects a commitment to change and a readiness to move toward the life you envision.

CBT is woven into my work by helping clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore the mindset shaping their concerns, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and practice new skills that support healthier responses. I use CBT in a collaborative, client‑centered way—structured enough to provide direction, yet conversational and accessible so clients feel supported as they work toward their goals.
DBT supports clients in building practical skills for managing emotions, tolerating distress, and improving relationships. In session, I integrate DBT by helping clients strengthen mindfulness, develop healthier coping strategies, and practice more effective communication. I use DBT in a collaborative, client‑centered way, guiding clients to apply these skills in real‑life situations so they can navigate challenges with greater stability and confidence.
Motivational Interviewing supports clients in exploring their goals, concerns, and ambivalence with compassion and curiosity. I use MI by helping clients strengthen their own motivation for change, clarify what they want for themselves, and identify the mindset that may be helping or hindering their progress. Through reflective listening, open‑ended questions, and collaborative dialogue, MI empowers clients to move toward change in a way that feels self‑directed, authentic, and aligned with their values.
Narrative Therapy allows clients to explore the stories they hold about themselves, their relationships, and their challenges. I use this approach by helping clients identify the narratives that shape their mindset, examine where those stories came from, and consider how they may no longer serve their goals or values. Together, we work to re‑author these narratives in ways that reflect their strengths, resilience, and preferred identity, empowering them to move forward with a more grounded and self‑defined sense of who they are.
Emotionally Focused Therapy helps clients understand and reshape the emotional patterns that influence how they relate to themselves and others. I use EFT by guiding clients to identify core emotions, explore the deeper needs beneath those emotions, and create new ways of responding that strengthen connection and emotional security. Through a warm, collaborative process, clients learn to shift their emotional experiences and develop healthier, more supportive relationship patterns—both internally and interpersonally.
