(she/her)
Do you often feel overwhelmed by your emotions, stuck in anxiety, or unsure how to make sense of what you’re feeling? Many of my clients come to therapy feeling like they are constantly in survival mode and don’t know how to slow their thoughts or calm their body. I specialize in helping women and teen girls learn how to regulate their emotions, reconnect with their bodies, and feel safe again so they can begin healing from trauma. Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), U.S. Air Force veteran, and graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington’s School of Social Work. I am passionate about helping women and adolescents better understand their emotions, reconnect with themselves, and heal from life experiences that may feel overwhelming. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My approach is trauma-informed and focuses on helping clients understand the connection between the mind and body while learning practical tools to regulate their nervous system and support healing. Through a compassionate, bottom-up approach, I help clients build emotional awareness, develop healthy coping skills, and create a stronger sense of safety and balance within themselves. My goal is to walk alongside you as you strengthen your ability to navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and move toward healing and personal growth.
In your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming, open, and non-judgmental space where we begin to get to know each other. This initial meeting is a chance for us to explore what brought you here, discuss your goals for therapy, and identify any immediate concerns or challenges you’re facing. I will ask questions about your background, your current situation, and what you hope to achieve, but there’s no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with at any point. We’ll also talk about how we can work together, including the frequency of sessions, confidentiality, and any concerns you might have about the process. My goal for this first session is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported as we start our journey toward your personal growth and healing.
Over the past seven years in social work, I’ve developed a strong ability to genuinely connect with clients, particularly teens, young adults, and women. Building trust is a cornerstone of my work, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences. Many of the individuals I work with feel overwhelmed or disconnected from their emotions due to past trauma or ongoing stress. I specialize in helping clients develop emotional awareness and learn how to regulate their nervous system by helping them feel safe in their bodies through a bottom-up approach. By focusing on the mind-body connection, I help clients build practical skills that support emotional regulation, healing from trauma, and lasting personal growth.
My ideal clients are women and adolescent girls who feel emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from their feelings and want to better understand themselves and their emotional experiences. Many of the individuals I work with have experienced difficult life events, trauma, or ongoing stress that makes it challenging to regulate emotions or feel a sense of stability. For teen girls, I often help them learn how to recognize and express their emotions in healthy ways, especially when they feel misunderstood, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Many teens struggle with anger, anxiety, family conflict, peer stress, or low self-esteem. In therapy, I help them build emotional awareness, understand what their body is telling them when emotions arise, and develop practical tools to calm their nervous system and respond to situations more effectively. For adult women, I often work with those who feel stuck in patterns such as people-pleasing, overthinking, or feeling responsible for everyone else while neglecting their own needs. Many come to therapy feeling emotionally exhausted, anxious, or unsure how to process past experiences that continue to impact their present lives. Together, we focus on helping clients reconnect with their emotions, understand the mind-body connection, and develop skills that allow them to regulate emotions and feel more grounded and in control. Whether working with teens or adults, my goal is to help clients better understand their emotional responses, build healthier coping strategies, and learn how to create a greater sense of safety and balance within themselves. Therapy becomes a space where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight, and develop the tools needed to move forward with greater confidence and emotional stability.

With teens, I focus on teaching skills such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness to help them navigate anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues. For adults, I emphasize managing stress, building healthier relationships, and reducing self-destructive behaviors through DBT’s core modules. For teens, I focus on building self-esteem, resilience, and confidence by highlighting their talents and past successes. With adults, I support clients in managing life transitions, stress, and relationships by emphasizing their existing strengths and resources. My approach empowers clients to shift their focus from problems to solutions, using their abilities to achieve meaningful, positive changes in their lives. Empowering veterans to find solutions based on their strengths, resilience, and prior success in overcoming adversity.
EMDR
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. EMDR works by helping the brain reprocess memories that may be contributing to emotional distress, anxiety, or negative beliefs about oneself. In my work, I integrate EMDR within a trauma-informed framework, helping clients first build a sense of safety and emotional regulation before processing difficult experiences. My goal is to support clients in reducing the emotional impact of past events so they can move forward with greater resilience, clarity, and emotional balance.
