Healing begins when you have a safe place to explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and discover new ways forward. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, caregiver stress, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or struggling to balance the needs of others with their own wellbeing.
I especially enjoy working with individuals who are ready to gain insight into how past experiences influence their current relationships, emotions, and sense of self. Whether you are struggling with difficult family dynamics, people-pleasing, boundary setting, self-confidence, chronic stress, or navigating a significant life change, therapy can provide the support and tools needed to create meaningful change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and strengths-based approaches to help clients develop practical coping skills while also exploring the deeper patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel both supported and challenged as you work toward your goals.
My goal is to help clients build confidence, strengthen relationships, improve emotional wellbeing, and create lives that feel more aligned with their values. Together, we can work toward helping you feel more empowered, resilient, and capable of navigating life's challenges with greater clarity and self-trust.
Are you seeking a therapist who offers a safe and compassionate space for exploring your thoughts, feelings, and emotions? Are you tired of the one-size-fits- all approach to therapy and seeking a therapist who will address your unique individual needs? If so, then I may be the exact therapist for you.

My main professional interest and passion is insight-based psychology and existential psychodynamic therapy. I studied and practiced clinical psychology in Belgrade, Serbia for 15 years where I also received intensive training in psychodynamic therapy and worked with individuals, families, and groups. Since moving to Houston 12 years ago, I completed my graduate degree at the University of Houston, where I practiced therapy mostly with people suffering from trauma, anxiety, and grief. I taught courses to graduate students at the University of Houston on Spirituality and Aging, Group therapy, Grief/Bereavement therapy and Research Methodology.
My deep dedication to the understanding and acceptance of the most diverse human existential experiences and challenges has led me to explore a wide array of aspects and sources of knowledge both scientific (evidence-based), but also those stemming from the creative processes of making music, literature, film, and art. My basic belief is that ultimate healing and balance comes from the inward, often unpleasant, but deeply rewarding journey into ourselves that incorporates our habits and thoughts, but also our physical existence, emotional dynamic and spiritual needs and values. My goal as a therapist is to be a reliable, trusted companion in this journey of self-exploration and self-acceptance.

Sometimes the hardest part isn't realizing something needs to change—it's taking that first step. Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you've been carrying so much on your own. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel comfortable enough to be yourself, explore what's been weighing on you, and discover practical tools that help you move forward with greater confidence and peace.

Whether you’re navigating life solo or in a relationship, unresolved childhood trauma can quietly shape your patterns, reactions, and relationships. Not all therapies or therapists are created equal, as you know if you are still struggling with the same issues. Time for a change.

Hi!, I'm Jacqueline, a Licensed Professional Counselor who truly gets the beautiful chaos of modern life because I'm living it right alongside you.
After earning my psychology degree from Texas Tech in three years (because I thought sleep was optional back then!) and my master's in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology from UT Southwestern, I spent over a decade working at places like UT Arlington, Children's Medical Center, and UT Southwestern's Neuropsychology department. But my real education came when life happened – getting married and having multiple kiddos.
Suddenly, I wasn't just understanding anxiety and overwhelm from textbooks. I was the one eating meals with one hand while bouncing a baby, wondering if I'd ever feel human again, and trying to balance professional responsibilities with the complete identity shift that comes with motherhood.
Those experiences taught me what no graduate program could: what it really feels like to juggle everything while questioning if you're failing at it all. Now, after 20+ years of marriage and navigating the ongoing adventure of raising three kids, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work.
I specialize in helping women navigate anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. But what sets me apart is that I apply these tools through the lens of someone who has walked the same path.
Whether you're a young professional feeling overwhelmed, a new mom wondering where your identity went, or a working parent trying to find balance, I see you – because I've been you. My goal is simple: help you create a life you're thriving in, not just surviving. Because trust me, it's absolutely possible.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in practice for over 12 years. I like to create a therapeutic environment for you to feel comfortable with letting your guard down and allowing me to be privy to assist you with your vulnerabilities, trials, tribulations, and traumas. I am a strong believer in us working together in exploring self-validation and self-advocation in order to developing the tools needed to best assist you in effectively coping along the way to your journey towards healing, balancing, and growing towards positive and proactive change.
In an atmosphere of acceptance, I will establish and maintain a trusting relationship to promote your growth and self-direction. I use brief cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to assist you with your anxiety, stress, depression and relationship conflicts.
I provide an environment to help you facilitate your emotional growth. Whatever your issues, you will begin to understand and grow from them. It is not my place to tell you how to live your life. Rather, I will help you make your own decisions by sharing ideas in a caring relationship.
Let's schedule an appointment. And begin your healing journey.

My approach is compassionate and collaborative, focused on helping you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and move toward lasting, positive change.
I believe talk therapy is a power tool. It can heal. It can empower. It can bring about the kind of changes you seek. In order for talk therapy to really work, you must feel connected to and trust the therapist you work with so I encourage you to find the right fit. We will start where you are and, together, we will explore new ways of making your life more manageable. To struggle is to be part of the human experience. Struggle can be a motivator for change. Those self-defeating thoughts are not who you are. These life circumstances do not have to define your whole life.

I will compassionately listen to help you gain insight and develop tools to cope with life's challenges. For most of my adult life, I have had the privilege of helping individuals and families navigate challenges, make meaningful changes, and move forward in their lives. Along the way, life has happened to me, too. I have experienced loss, grief, life transitions, and family conflict, and I understand that sometimes even the strongest among us need support finding our way through difficult seasons.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring life experiences, professional training, and a genuine understanding of how complex life can be. I work with adults of all ages who are ready for something to change but may not be quite sure where to begin. My approach is down-to-earth, curious, compassionate, and focused on making our time together meaningful or forward focused.

I am an optimist that has worked in the mental health and substance use space since 2007 as both a clinician and music therapist. Most battles are won and lost before they are ever fought because our thoughts drive our feelings and affect our behaviors. The challenge becomes mastering our thought process. Figuring out "who" we are is more useful than "why" we are so important in our journey to overcoming challenges, being resilient and becoming who we want to be. I thoroughly enjoy exploring and cultivating holistic coping strategies and firmly believe everything is better with music and chocolate.
