Virtual

I try to provide a safe and private space where someone can process their feelings and emotions and discuss the difficulties they are experiencing. I like to help people find solutions to the problems they are having and help them continue living their lives without their traumas or their past weighing them down. Every person deserves to live life to the fullest. You can search my website on www.collinscounselingcenter.org.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is generally meant to build a rapport and to assess the history of what your experiences have been. I also like to determine what your personal goals are in regard to what you want to accomplish in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with a lot of difficult circumstances, so I do not feel anyone is beyond help.

My treatment methods

EMDR

EMDR Therapy is a psychotherapy that helps people heal from the symptoms and emotional distress of trauma. It uses bilateral stimulation to facilitate the processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experiences.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a short-term form of behavioral treatment. It helps people problem-solve. CBT also reveals the relationship between beliefs, thoughts, and feelings, and the behaviors that follow.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a modified type of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.

Eclectic

Eclectic therapy is a flexible and integrative form of psychotherapy that draws on multiple theoretical orientations and techniques. It adapts to the unique needs of each specific client, depending on their problem, goals, expectations, and motivation. It is sometimes referred to as multi-modal or integrative therapy. Eclectic therapy can be used to deal with various mental health issues, such as self-destructive behavior, substance abuse, or suicidal thoughts.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy employs the use of hypnosis an altered state of consciousness caused by little more than the power of suggestion to help facilitate behavioral and emotional change.
