I am a licensed professional counselor practicing in the state of Texas, who is excited to assist clients with difficult seasons in their lives. I work with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other difficulties. Also, i am a former high school counselor, and I am aware of social/emotional difficulties in schools and the academic requirements for students.

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

I am trained in multiple modalities that are evidenced based, and I have a foundation in CBT. I continue to train and be informed about techniques that best help clients.

I help people experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, trauma. Through motivational interviewing, the client influences treatment planning for the individual's benefit.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have a worked with children and adults over the last four years to unveil thoughts, beliefs, or feelings that are associated with maladaptive behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

The therapist and client can work together to address intense feeling. Coping skills to promote emotion regulation are explored.

EMDR

People who have experienced difficulties and trauma can be guided to effective processing of these events through EMDR techniques.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Using tools to promote present moment awareness and to break away from negative thought patterns. Breathing, meditation, and other mindfulness strategies are advantageous for those experiencing depressed moods.

Motivational Interviewing

As a therapist, it is important to understand the client's motivation for change. Successes are imminent when the client feels understood and empowered.
