What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will work to establish rapport by creating a safe space for exploration. We will complete and intake assessment and discuss goals for therapy. Lastly I'll explain the counseling process to include boundaries and the limits of confidentiality. Clients will leave the first session with a clearer understanding of what therapy involves, feeling heard, and knowing they have support in working through their challenges.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My compassion allows me to offer empathy and genuine care, making clients feel understood and supported. My non-judgmental approach fosters a safe space where clients can openly share without fear of criticism, promoting trust and openness. Additionally, my life experiences give me insight into the challenges my clients face, allowing me to offer guidance that is both relatable and grounded in real-world understanding.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Clients use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in sessions to identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. Here are key ways clients engage with CBT during sessions: Identify negative thought patterns, challenge and reframe thoughts, learn relaxation and coping skills.

Christian Counseling

Christian counseling integrates psychological principles with Christian faith and biblical teachings to address emotional, relational, and spiritual issues. It is designed to help clients grow both psychologically and spiritually.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is primarily used to help clients process traumatic experiences or distressing memories. In sessions, the therapist guides the client through specific phases of EMDR, which involve recalling traumatic memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation.
