What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we’ll start with a brief introduction, then dive into the specific challenge you’re facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in the follow up sessions. I will get to know you as a person and have some historical perspectives about you hoping to develop our therapeutic relationship. I will also get to know what you have been using as a coping strategy dealing with your issues. We will take it slowly, making sure you are comfortable and less anxious to share your experiences. I will give you some clinical impression about your presenting problems and tell you a conceptual approach after our initial session . Taking notes and learning about yourself during the first session and reflecting about the session is what we will use to conclude.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have vast experience working with those who suffer from depression, self-esteem, and anxiety. I also have a wealth of experience working with those struggling with, phobias, self-worth, poor relationships, and grief. Being practical in therapy, I tend to encourage clients to do outside work to enhance the therapeutic process. Having worked with clients for the past 17 years, I have developed a tried- and true playbook for helping clients identify the root cause of their challenges and creating a plan specifically for them that leads to measurable progress. I can beautifully and respectfully confront and encourage at the same time to support the array of goals you want to accomplish as a client. I encourage venerability in communication either working with individual clients or couples. My approach to treatment is an integrative approach so using other approaches are also considered. These approaches tend to allow for greater and longer lasting change. If you are searching for directions, inner peace, or need help in getting past an obstacle in your marriage, I would welcome the opportunity to work with you. At times due to life demands schedules become complex so I have weekends and some flexible schedules that will accommodate the needs of couples and individual clients.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavior therapy is research based approach and how helped many clients in lowering distress and teaching them how to use creative techniques to unearth their automatic thought and also teaches clients how to cope effectively .This approach has helped many of my clients cope with substance use urges and relapses teaching them how to change their negative thinking and deal with impulse control issues. This approach basically teaches clients how to deal with negative thoughts and feelings associated with the past or present events which affect behavior and interactions and also teach how to learn appropriate ways of dealing with these negative patterns .

Christian Counseling

Provide Christian counseling using scriptures and biblical truth to provide light on issues .Client's narrative are discussed using biblical perspectives and prayers are incorporated into the session to trust the lord to lead and guide his people with the goal of lord receiving all the glory.

Narrative

I use this narrative therapy approach to help clients separate themselves from their lived experiences and empower them to use the same approach in dealing with their problems .The goal is to teach my clients and help them re-author their stories and re-establish their experiences in the here and now which will eventually cause them to achieve success and productive lives.
