Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Masters in Counseling and have been practicing for 12 years. I have experience working with various age groups (from adolescents to adults), in different settings (outpatient and in controlled environments), and I am driven to helping others find their sense of identity and empowerment through the struggles they have faced.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, I like to highlight a few points of the therapeutic relationship such as expectations. I like to spend the first session with you helping me to get to know who you are, what brought you to therapy, and what areas you would like to improve. Allowing this time will help us identify specific goals you would like to accomplish.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Over the last 12 years, I’ve had opportunities to work with a variety of age groups among different environmental settings. Working with these variants has allowed me to gain an awareness and sensitivity to age, culture, environment, and access to care. Having lived experience of my own has helped me to develop greater awareness on the importance of acknowledging not only our strengths and flaws, but the potential to become the individual we were created to become.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with the young adult and adult populations. I also love working with young professionals thriving to succeed in this world, just as much as I enjoy working with adults who have gone through many of the experiences, and struggles, life has offered.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Oftentimes we wonder why we do some of the things we do. Initially, we may forget that our thoughts and feelings drive our actions. I have found CBT as a helpful method that can help us understand how our perceptions, or interpretations, of certain situations are those that cause distress, that then influence our responses.
