I’m a therapist with over five years of experience in the mental health field, driven by a deep belief that healing begins when people feel safe within themselves. My work focuses on helping clients develop effective coping skills, build emotional resilience, and improve their overall quality of life in ways that feel realistic and sustainable.
My path into this work started early. I’ve been in helping roles since the age of 19, beginning as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later working as a Direct Support Professional. Those experiences shaped my approach to therapy today: grounded, compassionate, and deeply respectful of each person’s lived experience.
Therapy with me is collaborative and practical. Together, we identify tools and strategies that actually fit your life, not ones that sound good on paper but fall apart in real-world moments. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, empowered, and capable of thriving, not just surviving. Humor is always welcome here; therapy doesn’t have to feel like homework to be meaningful.

Hello My name is Kianna and I have been working in the mental health field for more than 20 years. I attended undergrad at Colgate University where I studied Sociology and Biology. There I developed a passion for Mental Health and a thirst to understand why people do the things we do. I attended the Syracuse University School of Social Work and majored in Mental Health. I have worked with diverse populations of all ages since then and came to find that I enjoy working with people who have come from disadvantaged backgrounds, people of color, women, Autists, and persons living with Anxiety and Trauma of all kinds. Trauma comes in many forms and the abuser can be a member of your family, a stranger and even your society.
As a Social Worker of color, I was drawn to becoming a therapist after my own struggle to find a therapist that looks like me. I want to dismantle the stigma that many communities carry about seeking help for mental challenges and show people that everyone can benefit from a better relationship with themselves.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in work with adults experiencing burnout and meaning-related distress following chronic stress, illness, or major life transitions. My approach is practical, focused, and depth-informed, aimed at restoring clarity and forward movement. I enjoy questions of depth and meaning while also maintaining a pragmatic approach to counseling. I look forward to discussing the human experience with you.
Hello,
A little bit about me: I like reading books, watching Korean dramas, playing board games, playing volleyball, and I want to help you with your mental health.
I'm someone who finds purpose in supporting others through moments that matter. Personal experiences with loss, mental health, and coming to know myself better have made me someone who values supporting others on their own journeys. When you feel like your world is crashing down, I want to help you find the calm in the center of the storm.
I am a caring counselor with 10 years of experience in helping individuals navigate their emotional and mental health journeys. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and tailored to meet each person's unique needs. I specialize in supporting clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and self-esteem issues. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings, gain insights, and develop effective coping strategies to create a more fulfilling life. I help people cut through confusion to discover what truly matters in their relationships and lives. Whether you're a couple caught in repetitive conflicts, or an individual navigating life transitions, my approach combines intellectual depth, genuine warmth, and practical structure to create lasting, measurable change.
As a long-term provider of mental health, I feel that therapy is very much like coaching. Together we can affect change using the tenets of CBT. I like to work in a brief, short-term and goal-centered approach. Come with an open mind and let us talk about making minor adjustments that can lead to long term changes. My mantra is -- "How can I help?" And if it sounds like a "Zen" like approach to counseling- maybe it is. Feel free to contact me with questions. I also work with athletes on any level to achieve peak performance.
I have been working as a psychotherapist for 20 years and in a variety of settings before that. I enjoy working with all ages and through different hands on methods that evoke thoughtfulness. Activities for children and adults help clients determine obstacles and ways to overcome them. I am open to working individually and in groups with couples and families.
