New to Grow
I am an LCSW-R with over 13 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including school social work, outpatient mental health clinics, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric facilities, large non-profits, and private practice. My approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and the provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Services can include individual and couples.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be a relaxed meet and greet to determine if we are a good fit. You will have time to express yourself openly about what you feel is holding you back from happiness and contentment. We will work together to identify and establish therapeutic goals and objectives which align with areas in your life that are barriers to overall wellness.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I have been told that my strong listening skills , calm demeanor and accepting personality helps clients feel comfortable quickly. I strive to meet you where you are at to establish goals in treatment which will allow you to work through barriers in your life. The right therapist for you will help you move forward positively in your life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts and self-doubt? Have you felt stuck with depressive feelings and negative thoughts? I work with individuals who are managing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and those seeking support for self-esteem issues.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) practices as a collaborative, evidence-based approach that helps clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. CBT focuses on practical skills that empower clients to make meaningful changes in the present while building tools they can use long after therapy ends.
Interpersonal
I apply an interpersonal approach because relationships play a central role in emotional well-being. This method helps clients understand patterns in their relationships, improve communication, and navigate life transitions in ways that reduce distress and strengthen connection
Strength-Based
I apply a strengths-based perspective because it recognizes clients as capable and resilient. This approach builds on existing strengths and resources, helping clients develop confidence and create meaningful, sustainable change.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness practices to help clients slow down, build awareness of their thoughts and emotions, and develop greater calm and self-compassion in daily life.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing techniques because it honors clients’ autonomy and builds on their strengths, helping them find their own reasons and readiness for meaningful change.
