LCSW, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
I'm a relatable, no-fluff therapist who brings a bit of quirk, fun, warmth, and authenticity to session. I have a passion for real, human conversations and believe healing works best when you can show exactly who you are. I am a Clinical Social Worker with 8yr of experience. I graduated from Binghamton University with my MSW, and have professional experience with people of all ages in a community mental health setting.
Our first session focuses on understanding what brings you to therapy, your past experiences with counseling, and what you're hoping to gain this time around.
I approach my work with a "Down-To-Earth" feel. I care about the people I work with and thrive on connection in the therapeutic relationship. I want to make sure I am providing a safe and comfortable space to be able to support you in what is most important to you, while also challenging you to unlock your best self. Together, we will focus on growth, and what that means for you. I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach. This allows me to tailor therapy to your unique needs, personality, and goals. My strengths lie in being intuitive, interactive, and being supportive while also challenging you for your full potential to reach your goal.
I provide individual therapy specializing in Anxiety, Depression, Stress Management, Interpersonal struggles, Self-Esteem, Mood Disruption and Trauma. If your goal involves being honest with yourself in order to make genuine change. I will meet you without judgement, support and reflection, and provide you with practical tools in order to make genuine change in your life.
I want to allow a safe space for growth; and I believe that includes sharing your experiences and taking the time to get to know you! In order to tailor your therapeutic experience and work on your individual challenges, it's important to process your journey, strengths, challenges, and needs in order to find solutions for the next step. Reflection and processing can be the key that unlocks self awareness in order to make a change!
If you recall an incident where you made an emotionally charged mistake, or perhaps notice that your thought patterns influence your choices...maybe find yourself acting in ways that you would like to change, then Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is so very helpful to analyze how our thoughts, feelings and behaviors impact our lives so greatly.
After sharing your story, I can provide insight and education on how our brain protects, influences, and pushes our decision making, and how deeply rooted our decisions are based on our lived experiences as human beings, as well as our core beliefs and values.
