About me

I'm a relatable, no-fluff therapist who brings a bit of quirk, fun, warmth, and authenticity to session. I have a passion for real, human conversations and believe healing works best when you can show exactly who you are. I am a Clinical Social Worker with 8yr of experience. I graduated from Binghamton University with my MSW, and have professional experience with people of all ages in a community mental health setting.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session focuses on understanding what brings you to therapy, your past experiences with counseling, and what you're hoping to gain this time around.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I approach my work with a "Down-To-Earth" feel. I care about the people I work with and thrive on connection in the therapeutic relationship. Together, we will focus on growth, and what that means for you. I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach. This allows me to tailor therapy to your unique needs, personality, and goals. My strengths lie in being intuitive, interactive, and being supportive while also challenging you for your full potential to reach your goal.

Narrative

I want to allow a safe space for growth; and I believe that includes sharing your experiences and taking the time to get to know you! In order to tailor your therapeutic experience and work on your individual challenges, it's important to process your journey, strengths, challenges, and needs in order to find solutions for the next step. Reflection and processing can be the key that unlocks self awareness in order to make a change!

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

If you recall an incident where you made an emotionally charged mistake, or perhaps notice that your thought patterns influence your choices...maybe find yourself acting in ways that you would like to change, then Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is so very helpful to analyze how our thoughts, feelings and behaviors impact our lives so greatly.

Psychoeducation

After sharing your story, I can provide insight and education on how our brain protects, influences, and pushes our decision making, and how deeply rooted our decisions are based on our lived experiences as human beings, as well as our core beliefs and values.
