About me

I am a first-generation Latina therapist passionate about supporting clients through challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and stress. I work with individuals seeking to understand their emotions, develop coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives. By providing a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach, I aim to empower clients to build resilience, gain insight, and achieve personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and creating a safe, supportive space for you. You can expect to: • Share your reasons for seeking therapy and what brought you here. • Discuss your goals, challenges, and what you hope to achieve. • Explore your background, experiences, and current stressors. • Begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship and outline a plan moving forward. The first session is mostly about understanding you and your needs, answering any questions you have about therapy, and helping you feel comfortable with the process. There’s no pressure, it’s simply a space for you to be heard and understood.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the combination of cultural awareness, empathy, and practical skill building. As a first-generation Latina, I understand the unique challenges many clients face navigating cultural expectations, identity, and family dynamics, and I bring that perspective into therapy. I integrate evidence based methods such as CBT, mindfulness-based therapy, grief therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, tailoring each session to the client’s individual needs and goals. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, helping clients not only process difficult emotions but also develop tools and strategies to manage stress, improve relationships, and foster personal growth. Clients often tell me that they feel heard, understood, and empowered in our work together, and I take pride in creating a safe space where they can explore, reflect, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, grief, or life transitions. My ideal clients are self-reflective, motivated to grow, learn, and seeking practical tools to manage stress, improve mental wellness, and build resilience. If you are someone who values insight, wants to understand patterns in your life, and is ready to take steps toward meaningful change, I’m here to walk alongside you, as a team. Together, we can create strategies and skills that help you feel more empowered, balanced, and confident in your journey.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. In my practice, I work collaboratively to develop coping strategies, challenge negative thinking, and practice skills that reduce symptoms and improve overall mental wellness.

Grief Therapy

I have experience providing grief therapy to clients coping with loss, including death, separation, and major life transitions. In my practice, I help clients process their emotions, understand the grief process, and find healthy ways to cope and adapt. I use a compassionate, individualized approach, incorporating techniques such as narrative therapy, meaning-making, and coping skills development to support clients in navigating grief while honoring their unique experiences.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have experience using mindfulness-based therapy to help clients increase self-awareness, manage stress, and regulate emotions. In my practice, I guide clients in cultivating present-moment awareness through techniques such as mindful breathing, body scans, and meditation. I integrate mindfulness into therapy to help clients observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment, develop coping strategies, and build resilience in their daily lives.

Psychodynamic

I have experience using psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore underlying emotions, unconscious patterns, and past experiences that influence current thoughts and behaviors. In my practice, I work collaboratively to increase self-awareness, understand relational patterns, and address unresolved conflicts. By exploring these deeper dynamics, clients gain insight into their behaviors and emotions, which supports lasting personal growth and improved mental well-being.
