I have been practicing counseling for over 20 years. I work to put each person first during each session. I want to walk beside each person to help them in their personal journeys. I started as a teacher in my career, then went on the school counseling. I added addiction and clinical counseling to better serve people. I care about each individual and work to make them the best person they can be.

Hello, I'm Liesa. If you're feeling stuck in your feelings, old habits, old ways of thinking, etc., your body may be telling you that you're ready for change. If you're new to therapy or had a bad therapy experience in the past, however, finding the right therapist to support you can be overwhelming. We’re meant to experience many emotions; the problem comes when we’re immobilized by them, we only feel the difficult ones, or when our thoughts and feelings keep us from living our values. If a therapist promises you that therapy will “fix” you, and they have the formula to achieve 100% happiness - I advise you to run or roll (for my wheelchair-using friends!) past their bios. I won’t promise to “fix” you because I don't believe you are broken. I’ve had the honor of working with people who have experienced unimaginable loss and pain, and not one of them needed to be fixed. Good therapy helps you to understand what is most important to you, and to live a life that reflects that. You are the expert on you, and I will use my training and experience to support your growth.

Hi there, I'm Farah Ali. I am a licensed clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and dedicated advocate for my clients. My educational foundation is based in psychology and social justice, having earned my master's degree in social work with a dual concentration in community practice and clinical mental health. Driven by a strong commitment to human rights and social justice, I am dedicated to advocating for every individual I work with and the communities I am part of. My Core Principles as a Therapist: Focusing on Strengths & Empowerment: Central to our work is helping you to more deeply connect to—and really use—your inherent strengths. This means looking for growth opportunities where some might find roadblocks and accessing both internal and external resources to help you make the changes you want to see in your life. Working for Comprehensive Wellness: Therapy is a place where we can work toward mental and emotional wellness, learn how to foster positive relationships, and discover a greater sense of balance and ease in your day-to-day life. Promoting Connection & Authenticity: The relationship we have is vital, which is why I work hard to make sure our relationship is a nurturing space for meaningful growth. Creating Safety in Being Seen: I strive to make our sessions a place where every emotion is valued, encouraged, and supported—yes, even the “bad” or “undesirable” emotions. This is the space we cultivate together in our work, and space that is here to help you more deeply see yourself, and be seen in your authenticity.

Hello, I'm Rebecca Zabinski, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota. I am originally from New Mexico and met my husband in the United States Air Force. I am a woman veteran and have grown to love Minnesota and everything it has to offer. My approach to therapy is meeting people where they are at and coming up with some goals together so that there is a common focus between us. I have 3 children and love animals. If I am not working, I am doing something outside with my kids, in the garden or with my dogs. I have over 12 years of experience in the counseling world and started my career in the Air Force. I have worked with children ages 5-17 and their families in the school settings. Now, I prefer to work with older teens and adults in all areas of life. My style in therapy is relational and conversational. I prefer to use my cognitive behavior therapy and attachment based techniques in therapy most of the time. Sometimes therapy includes having small goals each week to help build habits that lead to the client's overall goals in therapy. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and the therapist and building trust is important to me in a therapeutic relationship. I look forward to connecting with you.

I received my Bachelor’s from Dartmouth College and Master’s from Bethel University and have been practicing therapy for over 8 years. My style is honest and direct, while still offering a safe and supportive space with no judgment. I like to ask thought-provoking questions, offer feedback, and provide practical tools for you to work on outside of the session. This has helped teens and adults learn new tools, self-reflect, and dig deep so they can grow and create the changes that they seek. . I encourage people to actively participate in therapy and expect effort in making changes to achieve your goals. I utilize different evidence-based therapeutic modalities depending on your individual needs. Some approaches include CBT, DBT, client-focused, short-term solution-focused, strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and integrative mental health methods (i.e. breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, PMR, body scan, etc). For clients new to therapy, keep in mind it may sometimes require stepping outside of your comfort zone by learning new tools that you may have not tried before, hearing a different perspective you may have not considered, and even talking about concerns that may be difficult to process, but it does get easier with time. Remember, I am there every step of the way to help guide and support you!

I enjoy creating a non-judgmental and affirming space for adults in their 20s and 30s to work through life with short-term or long-standing mental health and emotional distress. Feelings of anxiety and the need for isolation can be internal cues to request reconnection to what makes our lives meaningful. Ideally, enjoying the moment, knowing how to soothe overwhelming feelings, and engaging our sparkling personalities helps us feel alive. If you want to learn about your mental health needs, understand your patterns, and improve strategies to take better care of yourself, my approach will feel comfortable. I use a gentle and caring approach to provide practical strategies and guiding questions. This helps you explore your pain and find insight and relief from distress. You can expect to explore past experiences, when appropriate, create goals for growth, be offered EMDR strategies to soothe discomfort and shift your mindset to connect with your strengths.
