(she/her)
Whatever obstacles and struggles someone may be going through in life, I consider it a privilege to help them cope. I understand that the clients I see are entrusting me to give them the right resources to guide them down a new path, with a new perspective, so they can achieve their own goals. With a healthy balance of listening, guiding, and even learning, I take pride in using my own experience and resources to help people really start off on the right foot on that path. Whether you, or someone you know struggles with something like anxiety, or simply wants a different outlook on their life, it’s something to work through together, and by setting up an intake, we can get started.
It all starts with a healthy mind, and a fresh perspective. From there, focusing on your well-being, mental and emotional health, and physical wellness comes into play like never before. You’re taking the first steps on a journey, but you’re not taking them alone.
My goal as a therapist is to find solutions that work for you on an individual basis, helping you to discover the true potential of your life, so everyday can be a celebration, and feel like a real ‘breath of fresh air.’ There may be no magic button or quick-fix solution when it comes to changing things from the past that have been difficult, but what we can do is work together to find comfort and resolve in the difficult areas of your life, and the challenges you have to face. My primary approach is acceptance and commitment therapy and EMDR.
I am a therapist who best serves women and individual adults because of how you naturally attune to the emotional, relational, and identity-based experiences that often shape their lives. I create a space where women feel deeply seen, not just for what they’re going through on the surface, but for the layered expectations, roles, and pressures they carry. Whether it’s navigating relationships, motherhood, career identity, or major life transitions like divorce or reinvention, you understand how these experiences intersect and impact a woman’s sense of self. I don’t rush to fix, I listen, validate, and help clients reconnect with their own voice and agency. I work with individual adults, which is grounded in depth and personalization. I am able to slow things down and meet each person where they are, helping them untangle patterns, process past experiences, and move toward meaningful change. I can be especially effective with clients who are reflective, motivated, or at a crossroads. People asking, “What do I really want?” or “How do I move forward from here?” I will likely bring a blend of approaches, insight-oriented, trauma-informed, and values-based (such as ACT or EMDR), which allows me to help clients not only understand themselves but also take concrete steps toward healing and alignment. I am comfortable holding complexity: grief alongside hope, fear alongside growth, ambivalence alongside action. Most importantly, clients feel safe with me. I offer a balance of warmth and directness. I can sit with pain, but I can also gently challenge when needed. That combination helps women and adults not just feel supported, but actually grow.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I am licensed in the states of MN, WI, OH, NY, AZ and TX by providing a nonjudgmental and relational approach to identify and change the thoughts and behaviors that are getting in the way of you living your best life. My goal is to connect the body and brain in the therapy setting so you will be able to figure out what behaviors and/or thoughts might be holding you back from living your best life, and finding meaning in everyday situations.
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy is a structured psychotherapy approach that helps individuals process and reduce the emotional intensity associated with traumatic memories. It involves focusing on the traumatic memory while simultaneously engaging in bilateral stimulation, typically eye movements, to help the brain reprocess the memory. EMDR is known for its effectiveness in treating PTSD and other trauma-related conditions.
