Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counsellor (LPCC) based in Minnesota. Additionally, I am a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor (LADC). I received my Masters from the Adler Graduate School and have been practicing for over 10 years. I consider myself a relational therapist. I help adults who are struggling become the best versions of themselves that they can be happy with.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Having worked in the field for many years, I've work with civilly committed sex offenders in a inpatient setting, outpatient chemical use and outpatient mental health program. I've developed a tried-and-true playbook for helping you (a) identify the root cause of your challenges and (b) create a tailored plan that leads to measurable progress.
I believe when we have faith, seek and submit ourselves to the plans God has for us, we no longer have to do things on our own strength. Matthew 17:20: "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you". This is one of my favorite scriptures. There is so much peace and freedom I have found in it over the years. Believer or not, allow me to help you through this phase of life.
I have been using CBT for years now and believe it to be a very useful and practical tool.
I spent quite a bit of time working with civilly committed sex offenders.
Most of my career has been working with individuals in varying stages of change and this treatment method is proven to be effective.
