New to Grow
My passion is helping clients find joy in relationships and experience life to the fullest! I offer individual, couples, and family therapy. I specialize in working with clients on communication, anxiety, and life transitions. My goal is to help others learn how to develop skills for managing daily stress and have healthier conflict. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures. I have lived in Hawaii and Spain. When I'm not working I enjoy playing guitar, taking walks, and spending time with my wife and our cat Lily.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I use the first session to get to you and what brings you to therapy. This helps me understand which approaches may be most helpful moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I make an intentional effort to ensure all of my clients feel welcome and cared for. I want my office to be a safe space to share your true thoughts and feelings. I believe my laid back yet adaptive approach helps me accomplish this.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to serve clients with relationship problems, anxiety, parenting concerns, or couples looking for pre-marital counseling.
Gottman method
I am trained in Gottman Method Levels 1 & 2. I use this treatment modality to focus on helping couples/families/individual communicate better and build stronger relationships.
Christian Counseling
During my time at Bethel Seminary, I learned how to integrate faith into my work as a MFT. I offer faith integration into therapy for interested clients.
Couples Counseling
I have spent over 3 years providing couples counseling. I am a Prepare & Enrich Facilitator, which offers structure to primarily support pre-marital couples. I also utilize various other treatment modalities including Gottman Method, Attachment Theory, and family therapy to assist my couples in their relationships. Topics covered includes parenting issues, sex, finances, in-laws, and many more.
Family Therapy
I have helped many couples and individuals navigate the complexities of raising a family. I use this approach to cover family structure, boundaries, behavioral concerns, division of labor, beliefs/values issues, among many more topics.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used this approach with my clients to help them build better thought and behavior patterns. This practice includes a focus on skill building, pattern recognition, and thought restructuring.
