As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I choose to practice part-time because I truly enjoy this work and the people I have the privilege of walking alongside. Counseling isn’t just what I do—it’s work I value deeply. I believe meaningful change happens through genuine connection, trust, and a safe space where you feel heard and understood. I have experience working with both adolescents and adults, supporting individuals through substance use concerns, infertility, adoption journeys, and a wide range of mental health challenges. Whether you’re navigating a specific life transition or feeling weighed down by ongoing struggles, you don’t have to face it alone. I deeply respect the courage it takes to seek help. Reaching out is often the hardest step, and it’s also a powerful one. I’ve seen how people develop incredible strength, resilience, and clarity as they move through life’s difficulties. My role is to support you in discovering that strength within yourself and to walk with you as you build the life you want and deserve. If you’re ready to begin—or even just considering it—I welcome the opportunity to connect.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First Counseling Session Many clients share that they’re unsure what to say in their first session — and that’s completely okay. You don’t need to prepare anything or have the “right words.” I will gently guide our conversation and ask thoughtful questions based on the concerns you identified when scheduling. Our first session is an opportunity for us to become acquainted. We’ll talk about what brings you in, explore your current challenges, and begin discussing your goals for counseling. I may ask about your background, relationships, coping strategies, and any past counseling experiences to better understand your unique story. This session is also your time to ask questions, share any concerns about the counseling process, and get a sense of whether you feel comfortable moving forward. Building a safe, trusting relationship is important, and we will move at a pace that feels appropriate for you. The goal of the first session is not to solve everything, but to begin creating a supportive foundation for meaningful work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe meaningful counseling begins with feeling truly heard. I bring strong listening skills, genuine curiosity about your unique story, and deep respect for your experiences and values. My gentle and compassionate approach is centered on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore, grow, and move at your own pace.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal Clients Ideal clients are adults ages 18 and older who are seeking a supportive, confidential space to process personal concerns, life challenges, or emotional difficulties. They are individuals who: Value a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment Are open to exploring their beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns Are curious about how past experiences may influence current challenges Want to develop healthier coping strategies and greater self-awareness Are willing to engage in honest self-reflection and personal growth Are motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives These clients may be navigating concerns such as anxiety, stress, relationship issues, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, or unresolved emotional experiences. Most importantly, they are ready to actively participate in the therapeutic process and collaborate toward positive change.

My treatment methods

EMDR

When a traumatic event happens, the brain may not fully process it. The memory can get “stuck,” along with the emotions, images, and body sensations from that time. EMDR helps the brain reprocess the memory so it becomes less emotionally intense. A key part of EMDR is bilateral stimulation, such as: Moving the eyes back and forth Tapping alternately on each side of the body Listening to alternating sounds This stimulation seems to help the brain reorganize and store the memory in a healthier way.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is a structured, short-term therapy that helps people identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that affect their emotions. The basic idea: 👉 Thoughts influence feelings, and feelings influence behavior. By changing distorted or negative thinking patterns, emotional distress can decrease.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) is a type of therapy that helps people manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and reduce harmful behaviors. DBT focuses on four main skill areas: Mindfulness Distress tolerance Emotion regulation Interpersonal effectiveness

Eclectic

Eclectic therapy is an approach to psychotherapy in which a therapist uses techniques and ideas from multiple therapeutic models, selecting the most appropriate methods based on the client’s specific needs rather than strictly following one single theory.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is a therapeutic intervention that involves teaching individuals (and sometimes their families) about a mental health condition, its symptoms, causes, treatment options, and coping strategies to help them better understand and manage it.
