Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Identify our thoughts and what we think affects how we feel and our actions. Practice awareness of how these thoughts affect everything we do and our depression/anxiety.
Interpersonal
In session we look at relationships. Is there conflict? We explore how your relationships impact you. Are the negative? Do they impact your self esteem? We can explore patterns of relationships. Identify roles played in relationships. Do you work harder in your relationships and how does this affect you? i provide education on identifying ways to set healthy boundaries and focus on improving self awareness and confidence. If you treat yourself positive then your relationships will become more positive.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Are you mindful or are you in your head? Sometimes we miss out on life, happiness. This type of therapy educates on staying in the moment to learn to appreciate the present. Often, we think about the future and past. Which is out of our control. Staying in moment helps with finding control with anxious/depressed thoughts. Also learn components of rational, wise, and emotional mind.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
This therapy assists with emotion regulation skills. Identifying how we respond to emotions and when our thoughts become distorted. If you are quick to react, angry, or "wear your emotions on your sleeve." This therapy may be good to learn about. Also finding out why and how these reactions to our emotions have come about. We learn how to manage our emotions in a healthy way.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Person centered starts with you and where you are at currently. We focus on what YOU want to achieve out of therapy and we go from there. (After all, it is your session, you goals.) This therapy approach is where I like to start and then assist you to sort your concerns/problems out.

Heidi has a warm personality with a sense of humor that puts me at ease. She gives me concrete goals and suggestions. She also reminds me to think about what is mine to control. I feel very much heard and seen with a focus on the positive.
