I am an experienced Therapist with Specialty focus in the areas of: Relationships, Attachment, Self-esteem/Self-love and Trauma informed care. I use a Psychodynamic approach combined with other treatment modalities to help people dig deep into the root causes of their symptoms to create long lasting and sustainable healing. I have over 10 years of experience in Behavioral Health after graduating with honors from Wayne State University. Therapy does not have to be scary, it is a journey that we can take together, step by step, one day at a time. I applaud you for taking the first step towards your healing!
In our first session you can expect to feel safe and heard. We will spend time building rapport and discussing your personal reasons for seeking Therapy and the goals you wish to accomplish. I am very flexible, so we will take things at your pace and discuss topics that are most important to you.
My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to empathize with my clients and provide a safe environment that is free of judgement. I am able to relate to people and provide helpful feedback that allows them to have a deeper level of reflection which leads to growth and healing.
If you struggle with Anxiety and Depression that has been resistant to medication or Therapy, a deeper approach that targets the root cause may be helpful. If you struggle with relationships, codependency, emotional avoidance or other attachment issues then you have come to the right Therapist!
Psychodynamic Therapy is a great way to dig a little deeper and get to the root cause of different struggles you may face. I also combine other approaches such as CBT and Trauma-focused Therapy to ensure you receive a well-rounded approach to meet your specific needs.
Attachment-based Therapy focuses on healing and reducing signs and symptoms of Codependency and disordered attachment styles. This approach helps people to understand the difficulties they have in relationships, the root causes of these issues and ways to heal in order to have healthier relationships.
Emotionally focused Therapy helps people to reconnect with their emotions, understand them and validate their emotional experiences instead of avoiding and bottling emotions which can lead to anxiety, depression and prevent closeness in interpersonal relationships.
Trauma informed care is helpful to patients who are trying to heal from trauma and overcome the lasting effects that traumatic experiences can have on a persons overall well being and mental health. In a trauma informed space you will feel safe to explore painful experiences in a way that allows you process and release them.
