Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, so I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. My style is warm, genuine, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe the best therapy happens when we work together, combining your expertise on your life with my clinical experience. I value curiosity over criticism, and while I won't shy away from challenging you, I'll do so with compassion and respect. I enjoy using humor when it fits, celebrating your strengths, and helping you recognize the resilience and wisdom you already possess. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, navigating a difficult relationship, or simply wanting to know yourself more deeply, we'll work together to better understand what's keeping you where you are and build practical, meaningful change. My hope is that you'll leave sessions feeling understood, empowered, and a little more connected to yourself than when you walked in.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is all about getting to know each other and beginning to build a foundation for our work together. There's no expectation that you have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. You can show up however feels best for you—whether you're ready to dive right in, feeling nervous, emotional, skeptical, or unsure where to start. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable, taking time to explore what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping for, and any important parts of your story you'd like to share. I'll also answer any questions you have about my approach so you can get a sense of what it's might be like to work together. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and with a better sense of whether we're a good fit. Therapy is a collaborative process, and building trust takes time. We don't have to cover everything in one session—there's no rush.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and empowered—not when someone tells you who you should be. Rather than taking the role of the expert on your life, I see therapy as a collaborative process. Think of me as your co-pilot. You bring your lived experience, and I bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, and practical tools. Together, we make sense of what's getting in your way and discover what helps you move forward. I strive to balance insight with action. We'll explore the deeper patterns that have shaped you while also developing concrete skills you can use outside of session. I pay close attention to each person's unique genius, and strive to highlight that genius whenever possible. Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. I value authenticity, humor, and creating a space where you don't have to perform or pretend. My goal isn't to "fix" you—it's to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been buried by stress, trauma, expectations, or life's challenges, so you can build a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. I don't think you need to be fixed. There is a whole person there, who may need support to find their best self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with people who are curious about themselves and open to growth, even if they're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly what you want from therapy—just a willingness to explore. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, identity exploration, or the lasting impact of difficult experiences. I also enjoy working with parents,, neurodivergent individuals, and anyone who feels like they've spent so much time taking care of others that they've lost touch with themselves.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I believe therapy should help you better understand yourself while also giving you practical tools for change. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, Narrative Therapy to help you separate yourself from the problems you're facing and reconnect with your strengths, and Systems Theory to explore how your relationships, family, and environment shape your experiences. I also approach therapy through an intersectional feminist lens, recognizing that culture, identity, privilege, and oppression all influence mental health. Together, we'll create a space that is collaborative, affirming, and tailored to your unique story.
