Welcome. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counsellor (LCPC) in Illinois with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, post graduate certifications in : marriage and family therapy, IFS, addictions/ codepencedncy, family therapy, breathwork, DBT, group, and and trauma therapy, practicing for 40 years. I assist clients in their healing, recovery, and increased agency. I will work with individuals and the systems within which they operate.
I have several years of experience treating individuals, families, and adolescents using a holistic, empathic, and trauma-informed approach. Watching friends and family struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues fueled my passion for helping those who struggle with these difficulties from a place of understanding, patience, and empathy. I received a BA in psychology first, which led to obtaining a substance abuse certificate. I gained experience working with families and individuals and, after some time, I was ready to further my education and obtained a Master of Social Work. This helped me expand my clinical skills and learn more targeted therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychoanalytical care, and art therapy. I found these approaches are a great synthesis of neuroscience, trauma, and creativity.
You may be someone others rely on—at work, in your relationships, or within your family—but internally you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained. You might find yourself overthinking conversations, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs while your own take a back seat.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, burnout, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who feel stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, or difficulty communicating their needs. I also have a strong interest in working with veterans and understand the unique stressors that can come with both military and post-service life.
Hi there, I'm Jasmine, LCSW, and I'm here to help you navigate those overwhelming feelings that can sometimes feel like a pressure cooker. Whether it's the fear of disappointing others, feeling misunderstood, or battling with anxiety and depression, I understand how these emotions can pile up and become unbearable. You might even find yourself resorting to self-harm as a way to cope. It's hard to reach out and put these feelings into words, but you don't have to do it alone—this is my specialty, and I already understand what you're going through.
With my guidance, you'll learn emotion management skills that can help you handle these big emotions and break the cycle. Imagine not having to use all your energy pretending to be okay because you actually are okay. Together, we can work on managing stress, connecting with others, and finding the energy to truly enjoy life. You won't have to be on the defensive anymore.
I believe in open communication and honest boundaries, especially when it comes to sensitive topics like self-harm. Rest assured, this is an area I work with regularly, and I'm committed to being with you every step of the way. There's no jumping straight to inpatient care here—I'll teach you what you need to know to stop this and move forward with your life.
If you're ready to take the first step towards feeling better and living a more fulfilling life, I'm here to support you. Let's work together to find the peace and understanding you deserve.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in the Chicago Suburbs. I have 10 years of experience working in Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient programs with women with mood disorders, eating disorders and trauma symptoms. I balance processing the memories and beliefs that keep clients stuck with building tangible skills that can help them manage their emotions outside of therapy.
I would describe myself as warm, honest, and practical. My goal is to create a space where you feel truly heard and understood, while also helping you take meaningful steps toward the life you want. Every person already has strengths within them, even when stress, pain, or old patterns make those strengths hard to access.

Life can become complicated when the strategies that once worked stop working. Whether you're navigating a recent ADHD or AuDHD diagnosis, struggling with burnout, anxiety, depression, or major life changes, it can feel like you're trying to solve a puzzle without all the pieces.
As someone who was diagnosed later in life, I understand both the relief and the disruption that can come from finally having an explanation for lifelong challenges. That experience has shaped my approach to therapy and deepened my appreciation for the resilience people develop while trying to navigate a world that wasn't designed with their needs in mind.
My work is grounded in the belief that every person has a unique nervous system, unique strengths, and unique challenges. Rather than treating a label, I focus on understanding you as a whole person. I draw from established therapy approaches, neuroscience, and our growing understanding of the connection between the brain and body. I also believe that therapy doesn't have to feel cold or clinical. Humor, relatable analogies, and practical tools are often part of our conversations.
I work primarily with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted from constantly trying to keep up. Many are navigating neurodivergence, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the loss of skills that can accompany chronic stress and burnout. I also provide an affirming space for clients in kink, polyamorous, and other consensual nontraditional relationships.
My goal is to help you better understand yourself, reduce overwhelm, build sustainable strategies, and create a life that feels more authentic and manageable. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can work through it together, one step at a time.

I earned my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University, where the prominent perspective was person-centered therapy. I have worked with several different client populations including couples with marriage difficulties, adults struggling with depression, anxiety, and other life adjustment issues, physically and sexually abused adolescents and adults, adolescents with mental health issues related to school, home, adjustment, or mental illness, and even adolescents and adults on the verge of suicide. In working with these populations, I have gained vast experience in family dynamics and feel it is important to focus on the whole system, especially when a child is involved. I have also been trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and I feel many adults and adolescents could greatly benefit from learning these skills. God is our ultimate counselor and His word is referenced and prayed from as part of the healing process.
