Clients often describe me as energetic, compassionate, authentic, direct, and refreshingly real. I’m not the therapist who simply sits quietly and nods—I show up fully, challenge you when needed, celebrate your victories, and walk alongside you through the hard moments. I genuinely care about the people I work with and believe that meaningful connection is one of the greatest catalysts for healing.
I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. Therapy doesn’t have to feel cold or clinical—it can be genuine, collaborative, and even include moments of laughter along the way. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Western Illinois University and my Master of Social Work from Arizona State University. I’ve been practicing as a master’s-level social worker since 2010 and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for the past three years. I’m also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly effective, evidence-based therapy that helps people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. My approach is holistic and deeply person-centered. I love integrating EMDR, somatic techniques, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation into therapy because I believe healing involves both the mind and the body. Every person is unique, so I enjoy thinking outside the box to create an approach that truly fits you.
As a certified EMDR therapist, I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing to help clients process traumatic and distressing experiences that may continue to affect the way they think, feel, behave, and respond in the present. EMDR can help clients identify and reprocess experiences that feel “stuck,” allowing the brain and nervous system to develop healthier, more adaptive associations. I incorporate EMDR not only for significant trauma, but also when appropriate for anxiety, grief, relationship experiences, self-esteem struggles, and other experiences that continue to carry emotional weight.

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients recognize patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore how the stories we tell ourselves can influence how we feel and how we respond to the world around us. CBT gives clients practical tools to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and make intentional changes in their everyday lives.
I believe healing isn’t just something that happens in our thoughts—it happens in our bodies, too. Mindfulness helps clients slow down, become more aware of what is happening in the present moment, and develop a deeper understanding of their internal experiences. I also incorporate somatic approaches to help clients notice how emotions, stress, and trauma may show up physically and learn ways to regulate their nervous system. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their bodies rather than feel disconnected from or overwhelmed by them.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy provides practical skills for navigating intense emotions, relationships, stress, and difficult situations. I incorporate DBT skills such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. These tools can help clients understand their emotions without being controlled by them, communicate more effectively, tolerate difficult moments, and respond rather than react.
