New to Grow
Feeling stuck, stressed, or overwhelmed? I provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients can navigate anxiety, self-doubt, and life transitions with greater clarity and confidence. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, connected to yourself, and empowered to create the life you want. I work with young and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders, life transitions, PTSD/ trauma, relationship issues, and self-esteem challenges. Together, we’ll build coping skills and create a personalized plan for growth that feels empowering and achievable.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and discuss what brings you to therapy. It’s normal to feel nervous—therapy is a process we’ll build together over time. We’ll move at your pace, one step at a time, and I’ll be here to guide you throughout.
I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences, with me as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. My approach to treatment is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and goals. Together, we'll explore the challenges impacting your well-being, build practical coping skills, strengthen confidence and resilience, and create an empowering, achievable path toward meaningful growth and lasting change.
I work with young and older adults navigating anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders, life transitions, PTSD/ trauma, relationship issues, and self-esteem challenges. Together, we will establish mutually agreeable goals centered around what matters most to you. As your treatment progresses, we will continually explore how therapy is working for you and make adjustments as needed to ensure treatment remains beneficial and focused on your needs and goals.
Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on practical approach to problem solving. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that may contribute to life's difficulties, and change the way the client feels, thinks, and behaves.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) uses principles of mindfulness, acceptance, and personal values to enhance psychological flexibility. ACT helps individuals let go of harmful thoughts and beliefs so that individuals make choices that align with their core values.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a specific type of cognitive behavior therapy that helps individuals learn how to modify and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to traumatic experiences including child abuse, combat, sexual assault, and natural disasters. CPT is a structured treatment approach that helps individuals create a new understanding and conceptualization of the traumatic event so that it reduces its ongoing negative effects on current life.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on developing emotional regulation skills, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT involves using practical tools to help manage intense emotions, navigate life's challenges, and build healthy relationships by developing healthy coping skills.
I incorporate principles of mindfulness to help clients to become more self-aware of their feelings and emotions in order to help with self-regulation. Mindfulness helps to develop the ability to be more present and in the moment in order to re-pattern areas of life where one may feel stuck. My approach to therapy reflects a variety of modalities and are tailored to your unique needs through the therapeutic process.
