My work encompasses individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, manage or improve addictive behavior, emotional dysregulation and life transitions (including women's issues). My work is informed by formal training in EMDR as well as, traditional talk therapy with a strong foundation in CBT and DBT—but therapy with me isn’t about rigid techniques or worksheets for the sake of it. I focus on helping clients understand why patterns exist, not just how to manage symptoms. EMDR allows us to work at the root level and utilize the integration of traditional talk therapy with CBT and DBT. Cognitive and Dialectical behavioral therapies provide practical tools for navigating daily life such as, mindfulness practices and working to defeat cognitive distortions that impact our relationships. I integrate these approaches thoughtfully, adapting the work to the person in front of me rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all model. Clients often describe my style as direct, solution focused, collaborative, and grounded. The bond that is created between us is the most important, and I believe meaningful change happens when therapy feels both safe, person centered and honest—where insight leads to action, and healing is something we actively build together.

Hello, my name is Katrina and I look forward to learning about your healing journey. Before becoming a clinical mental health counselor, I worked as both an elementary school teacher and school administrator in the U.S., Italy, and China. These roles introduced me to the impact our home environments and personal relationships have on our holistic health and on the decisions we say 'Yes' or 'No' to. I transitioned into clinical mental health counseling while living in Shanghai with my family. This experience offered me the opportunity to work with adolescents, adults, and couples from six continents and to learn how, despite cultural and linguistic differences, we all seek meaning, purpose, and acceptance in our lives. In addition, it provided me with the unexpected opportunity to learn how to offer crisis counseling online and in-person to those living under COVID lockdown and quarantine conditions, an experience that prepared me to participate in on-the-ground crisis counseling services in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian in SW Florida. I enjoy offering others a space for conversations that can spark insight into what we want from therapy and what we are ready to commit to in this moment. Sometimes we come to therapy ready to overhaul our lives. Other times, we need verbal processing that allows us to grieve our losses, acknowledge our regrets without blame, talk about trauma in a safe way, and receive validation for what we are looking forward to. In this environment, I hope to collaborate with you in a meaningful way that prepares you for your next stage of life- or perhaps helps you survive the stage you are currently in.

Early on I experienced an unwavering passion to help others. This deep-seated desire led me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. My aspirations didn't stop there. Upon venturing into the social service field I gained a strong interest in working with deviant youth, giving me the motivation to complete a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, along with a Master's in Social Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice. After attaining four college degrees, I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. For over 8 years, I have dedicated myself to serving the community and gaining invaluable experience along the way. I have acquired educational, professional, and personal experiences which help guide others on their healing journey, overcoming trauma, cultivating emotional stability, and addressing psychological distress. The utmost focus is to extend a helping hand to those grappling with anxiety, family conflicts, depression, and ADHD. Welcome! I provide individual therapy to adults dealing with a variety of challenges including: anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions/adjustment issues, complex trauma, and attachment issues. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you have been in therapy before, it is important to choose a therapist that you feel connected to and has experience in treating the areas that align with your needs. Therapy is an intimate experience, a collaboration between you and the therapist. I take that role seriously and understand that to do my best work, I need to understand each client holistically. I feel like my biggest asset is the ability to see a client's strengths, empower them to achieve their goals, and support them throughout the therapeutic process. Therapy helps uncover strengths and learn new skills that will allow you to deal with the challenges that arise in life. A successful therapy experience does not mean a person is cured, it means the person has the inner and outer resources to deal with the ups and downs of life. My goal is to help you develop the skills necessary to successfully deal with life, on your own terms. With warmth, compassion, and a bit of humor, I aim to create a safe, supportive environment to help foster personal growth and healing. I have experience working in a variety of settings including outpatient, Telehealth therapy , and schools. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and approved Clinical Supervisor. I look forward to working with you!

Hi, and welcome. I know that looking for a therapist can feel intimidating, especially when life has already thrown so many challenges your way. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or even hopeless in the process. But I want you to know—you're not alone, and support is here. After facing my own personal challenges with relationships, parenting, and identity, I felt called to help others move through the same struggles. With over 15 years of experience, I work as both a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). My work integrates clinical therapy with behavioral science to support individuals, couples, and families in navigating their lives with confidence, clarity, and compassion. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore what’s holding you back, understand long-standing patterns, and begin building new skills and perspectives that support sustainable change.

Sometimes people experience emotional problems (e.g., anxiety, depression), behavioral problems (e.g., overeating, smoking), or relationship problems (e.g., excessive arguing, poor communication) that interfere with their daily functioning. These difficulties result from the interaction of biological, learning, behavioral, and environmental factors, which influence patterns of thinking and behaving. Negative life events can contribute to the development of self-defeating patterns of thinking and behaving, which some people can have difficulty changing. In my work, which I have been practicing for 42 years, I help people identify these self-defeating patterns and develop strategies for dealing with them. I emphasize the importance of practicing these strategies consistently, with the goal of handling emotions more effectively and behaving in more responsible and healthy ways. I focus on life pattern changes with respect to relationships, depression, anxiety, anger control, impulse control, and stress management.

What effect do you hope that therapy will have on your life? Are you looking for someone to support you in difficult times? Is it your goal to thrive, rather than just survive? Perhaps you want to explore past events and see how they might be affecting your present. My name is Teresa, and I would be honored to walk with you as you navigate life. I work with individuals who have taken on the role of caregiver, whether professional or personal, in avoiding burnout and compassion fatigue. I empower others in creating and enforcing boundaries. I also assist individuals in cultivating a strong sense of self-worth. I guide individuals who are processing trauma and provide support and care. I support individuals of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and religions. I am nonjudgmental and supportive of individuals who are in any stage of recovery from substances or any other addictions. I hope to create a genuine, caring environment (yes, even in teletherapy!) exhibiting acceptance and celebration of who you truly are.

Any requests for additional administrative services like disability certification and special accommodations (such as Emotional Support Animals letters) related to a psychological condition will have to be provided by another mental health provider. Short-term disability certification by Ms. Gonzalez will be limited to a period of time not to exceed 4 weeks, at which time those determinations will also have to be made by another mental health provider. The reason for this policy is to avoid having the performance of administrative functions interfere with your therapy."

Do you feel tired or have little energy or so restless that it is hard to sit still and relax? Are you easily annoyed or irritable? If you answer yes to any or all of these questions, then you may be experiencing some depression and anxiety. But I have good news for you! I work exclusively with women only who are experiencing Depression and Anxiety. These conditions are treatable through talk therapy sessions and can often resolve in the short-term. Therapy does not have to be a long-term process and often you can achieve the goals you set for yourself within a matter of months.

I specialize in supporting women who are ready to heal their worthiness wound and step fully into a life defined by self-love, peace, and authenticity. Many of the women I work with have spent years trying to meet impossible expectations—balancing careers, relationships, and responsibilities while quietly feeling “not enough.” I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can release those pressures, rediscover your inner strength, and reconnect with the radiant, whole version of yourself that’s always been there. My approach is both compassionate and collaborative. Together, we’ll identify the patterns that have kept you stuck and gently create new ways of thinking, feeling, and showing up in the world. I draw on mindfulness, self-compassion, and trauma-informed practices to help you nurture self-worth and build a life that feels aligned and meaningful.
