Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have experience working with Childhood Trauma, PTSD, Substance Abuse, LGBTQ, Sexual Traumas. I approach all therapy meeting the client where they are and working with mindfulness practices and other modalities to address their issues. Self Compassion, loving kindness, solution focused therapy, CBT and DBT are some of those modalities. I specialize in Substance Use Disorder , PTSD, Sexual Trauma and Abuse

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as an LCSW are holding the space for people and listening to them. Some of our deepest anxiousness and depression come from not being heard by others and sometimes that is exactly what we need.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I enjoy working with all clients that are willing to work on their issues and open to applying the suggestions that are presented. Not all types of therapy work for everyone and exploring this with a client is very rewarding for them and helps a person be the creator of their new life. I enjoy working with people on a spiritual aspect and helping them to see the potential of their true self.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a therapeutic modality to help the client understand why they are stuck, or anxious or limited to being their best self. It assist the person in learning to chose their own thoughts and beliefs about themselves. It work well with Neuroplasticity and behavioral change. When a person really wants to change something its going to take changing the mindset that created the behavior to a new mindset. CBT works for all behavioral issues and will work for anyone .

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have been studying mindfulness practices for over 35 years and believe all therapy begins with first being mindful of where the person is and beginning there. Mindfulness is mainly about being aware of what you are feeling, telling yourself and giving yourself permission to be in that space.

Trauma Informed Care

I have a wealth of Trauma informed Care experience working with Veterans, sexual assault victims, etc
