LMHC, 8 years of experience
You're not here to be "fixed." You're here to be heard. I’m a therapist who takes an eclectic, client-centered approach, tailoring each session to your unique needs. I integrate evidence-based techniques from CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness to help with challenges like anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, trauma and relationship dynamics. I don’t give advice because I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is to listen closely, ask the right questions, and help you uncover the "why", "how", and "what" behind your choices with you. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and focused on helping you find your voice, not mine.
In our first session, I’ll introduce my therapy style, review consent and confidentiality, and get to know you through a biopsychosocial assessment. This helps me understand your background, experiences, and current needs so we can tailor our work together. The session is a collaborative, pressure-free space where you can share at your own pace.
My strength as a therapist is creating a judgment-free space where you can be yourself. I blend warmth, humor, and honesty, helping you gain clarity, build self-compassion, and move toward growth. I believe you’re the expert on your own life—I’m just here to help you untangle the tough stuff, challenge unhelpful patterns, and remind you of your strengths along the way. And if we can share a laugh in the process, even better.
My practice focuses on supporting teens (16+), adults, and seniors who know something in their life needs to shift, and are ready to explore that change. If you’re past the stage of wondering whether therapy is for you, and instead asking "how do I actually do the work?", we might be a great fit. I offer online sessions to make it as flexible with your schedule as possible.
I take an eclectic approach in my practice, which means I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs rather than sticking strictly to one method. With experience across various evidence-based approaches (i.e., Cognitive behavioral approach, Humanistic approach, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, and trauma informed-care) can blend techniques to find what works best for each individual. My goal is to meet clients where they are and adjust my approach as necessary to keep therapy engaging, effective, and personalized.

I have been in therapy on and off for a few years now and not until I met Katherine did I really feel like I was doing the work I came here for. She challenges me in a gentle yet powerful way. Exactly what I have needed.

I appreciated the energy Katherine conveyed in her profile, it was very encouraging. After my first session now, I am happy to say that it also seems quite genuine. I look forward to our future sessions!
