Your first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and begin exploring the challenges you’re facing. You’ll have a safe, confidential space to share your experiences and goals. Together, we’ll discuss your concerns, review your background, and outline a plan for therapy tailored to your needs. I’ll also explain the approaches we may use, such as CBT, EMDR, DBT, or other evidence-based strategies, and answer any questions you have about the process. By the end of the session, you should feel heard, supported, and have a clear understanding of how we can work together to create meaningful change.
My therapeutic approach is distinctive because it blends evidence‑based clinical methods with a strengths‑focused, client‑centered orientation that prioritizes both meaningful results and personal empowerment. I integrate structured, results‑driven modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution‑Focused Therapy, and family systems work with humanistic and strengths‑based strategies to holistically address the full spectrum of a client’s experience. The integration of these approaches allows me to tailor treatment in real time based on a client’s needs, preferences, goals, and pace—rather than relying on a single, rigid framework. Psychology.org +1 What differentiates my work is my commitment to both practical skill building and deeper personal growth. I focus on measurable progress through structured interventions (such as cognitive reframing, behavior change strategies, and skill development) while simultaneously fostering insight, resilience, and adaptive functioning. Clients consistently report not only symptom relief but also an increased sense of clarity, confidence, and agency in their lives. Another core strength of my practice is the emphasis on relational safety, empathy, and collaboration. Research shows that a strong therapeutic alliance—marked by trust, acceptance, and mutual understanding—is one of the most powerful predictors of positive outcomes in therapy. This means clients feel genuinely heard, supported, and understood from the very beginning. Psychology Today Finally, my results reflect the combination of method and mindset: clients learn practical tools they can apply immediately, develop resilience that extends beyond the therapy room, and build a foundation for ongoing growth long after formal treatment ends.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)
I am a therapist who specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), providing structured, evidence-based treatment focused on helping clients understand and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behavior. My work centers on identifying how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact to maintain distress, and collaboratively developing practical strategies to promote emotional regulation and adaptive coping. I work with clients to challenge cognitive distortions, build problem-solving skills, and implement behavioral interventions that support meaningful change. Treatment is goal-oriented and tailored to each client’s needs, with an emphasis on measurable progress and skill development. I integrate psychoeducation, in-session exercises, and between-session practice to help clients apply therapeutic tools in daily life. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on empowering clients to develop lasting skills that enhance resilience, self-awareness, and overall functioning across personal, relational, and professional domains.
EMDR
I am a therapist who specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach designed to help clients process and resolve distressing or traumatic experiences. My work focuses on identifying and targeting maladaptively stored memories that contribute to current emotional distress, negative beliefs, and physiological reactivity. I guide clients through a structured, phased EMDR process that supports stabilization, resourcing, and the reprocessing of traumatic material using bilateral stimulation. Treatment is paced according to the client’s readiness and emphasizes safety, grounding, and nervous system regulation throughout the therapeutic process. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, with the goal of reducing the emotional intensity of past experiences while fostering more adaptive beliefs, improved emotional regulation, and enhanced functioning in daily life. EMDR allows clients to integrate past experiences in a way that promotes healing, resilience, and long-term symptom relief.

Treatment is tailored to each client’s needs and level of spiritual engagement, ensuring that care remains ethical, respectful, and clinically sound. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and grounded in both professional clinical standards and Christian worldview. The goal is to promote emotional health, spiritual growth, and alignment between personal values, faith, and daily life functioning.
