The goal in psychotherapy is for you to become your own therapist. We would achieve this in a collaborative and strategic manner. There has always been a need to address our emotional well being but until recent times, this topic is more accepted than ever to discuss. Not only do I help people address their problems, but I also aim to help people be self-actualizing.
I am a Psychologist licensed in California and have provided psychotherapy to individuals for over 30 years. I am also a lifelong artist and I am interested in how the creative process functions in our lives. Hello! I’m Sandra V. Chávez, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Registered Psychological Assistant with the California Board of Psychology. I’m passionate about helping individuals grow both personally and emotionally through client-centered, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral therapies.
As a first-generation Latina, I learned ambition, tenacity, and determination from my parents. My educational journey includes dual bachelor’s degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences and Psychology, as well as a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. I’m currently on the path to becoming a licensed psychologist. Before entering the mental health field, I worked as a nurse and briefly attended medical school in Southern California. That experience deepened my interest in understanding the brain, human development, and the impact of environmental factors on behavior.
I specialize in supporting clients through mood disorders, life transitions, and self-empowerment challenges. My strengths lie in helping individuals develop emotional intelligence, identify, and understand their emotions. I believe therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique needs, which is why I use an integrative, eclectic approach that draws from evidence-based methods and holistic practices, including mindfulness and positive psychology.
I also enjoy working with individuals who incorporate their faith into their mental health journey. For those open to incorporating their faith as a tool for healing, I create a safe, welcoming space where spirituality and therapy work hand in hand.
Above all, I value building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to offer a non-judgmental environment where your thoughts and emotions are respected and where real progress can be made. Together, we’ll explore strategies, assignments, and tools that help you overcome life’s hurdles and achieve lasting personal growth and fulfillment.
Let’s begin this journey together!
My goal in my counseling is to help my clients live deeply fulfilling lives. I help clients increase their psychological flexibility through various tools and approaches including evidence-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to change their thought patterns. I use experiential approaches including Hypnotherapy to work with subconscious minds and remove blocks that are deep in their psyche. I also provide mindfulness training, which is one of the key techniques for the clients to be more present and accepting in their lives, rather than react reflexively.
Each individual's struggles are complex and tied to many factors including their social environment, their physical health, the phases of their lives, skills they already possess, etc. In other words, change can happen in a variety of ways and that's what counseling can help with, pointing out the direction and even the next steps that can help the client to get to their goals and intentions.
I work with clients experiencing sleep disorders, chronic pain, anxiety, mood issues, ADHD, career counseling, and those who simply need a tune-up.
I am an African American female Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Los Angeles. We all have the opportunity in our life to start fresh. During the journey, we change, grow, heal, destroy, and can improve our lives. You will experience difficulties, and you are not alone. We are not alone in this world, but we are compelled to isolate ourselves from the fear of experiencing too much pain. I have many years of clinical training with life experiences, including successes and failures, but we are not provided a how to manual at birth. I have a sense of humor, but good sound clinical judgment, so take a leap of faith.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and first-generation Filipino American, I bring a culturally sensitive approach to guiding individuals toward healing, resilience, and personal growth. I specialize in trauma-informed care, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), EMDR, and Brainspotting—advanced, evidence-based interventions designed to address the root causes of trauma, addiction, anxiety, and depression.
With experience working with individuals from various backgrounds, I’m passionate about helping clients process life-altering events, break free from past trauma, challenge unhelpful core beliefs, and manage ongoing stress. My mission is to empower clients to build meaningful lives and strengthen their relationships.
Are you feeling stuck under the weight of addiction, anxiety, or depression? Are emotional blocks keeping you from living the life you want? You do not need to go through each day merely trying to survive —you can thrive in life! Therapy is a compassionate, non-judgmental space where healing can flourish, and you can learn to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and self-awareness.
Healing is possible, with just a little persistence, and hope. I am here to support you every step of the way!
I provide most therapy sessions through GROW’s secure Telehealth video platform for convenience and accessibility. For clients who prefer in-person care, I offer periodic sessions in the greater Sacramento area and South Lake Tahoe—especially for those interested in trauma-informed brainspotting or walk-and-talk nature therapy. As of September 2026, I do not accept medical insurance, but offer cash-pay options to cover the cost of therapy sessions.

Welcome! My name is Jesus, I am a multi-state Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of experience working with adults. If you are struggling to cope with the challenges that are life, I am here to help you. I strongly believe that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all model, and because of this, I take a collaborative approach to meet my clients where they are to help get them where they want to be. My motto in life is, life is about making positive movements forward.
Hello, my name is Megan. I appreciate you taking the leap to want to do something different in your life. I know how hard talking about some of these big life issues can be like the death of our person, living through the struggle of infertility and acknowledging the weight of our anxiety is too much. Sometimes, we are stuck in our loop and yet, we do not have the perspective how to shift the big feelings to make you start to feel better.
In the beginning of working together, I want you to feel comfortable sharing your story. Everyone arrives wanting a witness to their grieving at different stages of their process. Your relationship is to different each person had a different relationship to their person. I believe the importance of listening to what is said in the room or what is not said. Many times we are not able to verbalize our pain of trying to live without our person. I think a very necessary part to our healing is to be witnessed by another. My goal is to always create safety in the room. I am a fairly transparent therapist sharing sometimes my personal journey to connect and help clients realize they are not alone in their pain.
I look forward to joining you in your healing journey.

I get satisfaction from being a voice of reasoning for others through my genuineness. I consider this a life purpose for me. I am driven by a deep desire to make a positive difference in the lives of those struggling with their mental well-being. I believe in providing a safe space with a non-judgmental stance while supporting the patient through his or her emotional well-being and encouraging autonomy.
I am an LCSW (License Clinical Social Worker) with over 19 years of experience in the field of mental health and I have been licensed since 2010. I have worked in crisis behavioral health hospitals with both adults and adolescents, outpatient community mental health clinics and in hospice. I have also worked at the University of Michigan counseling center with undergraduate and graduate students. I have extensive experience in relationship/communication issues, trauma work, infertility and miscarriage counseling, parenting, grief work, life transitions, depression and anxiety. I studied social work at the University of Michigan and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Washington.
I offer a space where your pain can soften, your story can unfold gently, and you can be met with warmth and compassion without judgment. I draw from CBT, TF-CBT, MI, mindfulness, and person-centered, holistic practices — not as rigid techniques, but as tools we weave into the moments when you need grounding, clarity, or a way to steady yourself. Over time, your voice gets stronger. Your patterns make more sense. And the parts of you that learned to survive begin to feel safe enough to soften.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters Degree in Social Work from California State University Los Angeles. I have been working in mental health for over 40 years, and as a licensed professional for 16 years. My area of expertise is mental health and supporting clients to be able to adjust and cope better with a myriad of life stressors.
I’m a therapist who works with adults dealing with life transitions, relationship challenges, and big emotions. I help you notice patterns in your thoughts, feelings, and relationships, build skills to handle stress and emotions, and create healthier, more fulfilling connections. I blend psychodynamic, relational, and DBT approaches, so we focus both on understanding yourself more deeply and on practical ways to navigate daily life with more ease and confidence.
As a veteran, therapist, and human being I resonate deeply with the archetype of the “wounded healer". I understand trauma and the seriousness of life's challenges not just clinically, but personally. I am assured in my professional capacity that I can provide you with the high level of care and support that you deserve; all while making therapy not feel so clinical or cold.
I am a Licensed Clinician in California, with over three decades of clinical experience. I specialize in culturally competent, Christian-integrated, strength-based therapy. My approach combines Biblical principles, Christian values, wisdom, and clinical expertise to support those seeking healing through a holistic and compassionate framework. I offer culturally competent therapeutic interventions, respecting all cultures and emphasizing the client's strengths as the foundation for overcoming challenges.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you do not have to navigate it alone. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.
In our work together, we will explore what has been weighing on you, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you feel more grounded and confident. My approach is collaborative and tailored to your needs, helping you move toward healing, clarity, and meaningful change at a pace that feels safe for you.
Hello and thank you for being here! It takes a lot of courage to begin the process of seeking therapy services—especially if asking for help is not something you are used to. As your therapist, I strive to create a safe space where you feel empowered and supported as you embark on your healing journey.
My passion for mental health and wellness was shaped by my life experience of growing up in a culture that often minimized the importance of mental health. This has motivated me to work towards challenging that narrative because I believe that taking care of your mental health is invaluable. Therapy is a place where you can process unexpected life events as well as a place where you can learn more about yourself, your triggers, and where they come from. It is a space where you can talk about your daily struggles as well as deeper issues that may be affecting how you relate and communicate with the people around you.
My approach to therapy is person-centered and humanistic at its core. This means that I show up with genuine empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental stance. I use psychodynamic techniques to help you explore early life experiences that could be affecting your relationships or family dynamics. I also enjoy teaching clients cognitive-behavioral techniques and mindfulness practices.
My background includes training in somatic therapy, spiritual emergence, buddhist psychology, expressive arts, sandtray, rosen method bodywork, aikido, person centered and transpersonal therapy and diverse trainings in psychological methods for personal growth and healing. My approach is holistic and includes exploring mind, body and spirit connections. I have worked as a school counselor, a military family life consultant, in clinics and in private practice. Currently I work with individuals in private practice.

I've been a licensed clinical social worker for over 30 years. I got my Master of Social Work at University of Southern California. My approach is holistic, intuitive, and gently direct. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable expressing yourself openly. My goal is to help you reconnect with your authentic self and bring patterns or blockages that may be limiting fulfilling ways of living into greater awareness.

Hi, I’m Desiree, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work with adults who appear capable on the outside but internally struggle with chronic self-doubt, overthinking, and people-pleasing. Many of my clients worry they are “too much” or not good enough, even while managing a lot in their lives.
In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns and where they come from, while building self-trust, stronger boundaries, and more confidence in your decisions. My approach is relational and person-centered, and I see people as whole humans, not diagnoses.
Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up with me quickly and that they feel genuinely heard. I believe that kind of connection is a key part of meaningful change.
Welcome! I am genuinely glad that you are here. It isn’t always easy to put your trust and safe keeping of personal feelings and experiences into another, so I am honored to get to know your story. As a compassionate and experienced therapist, I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve personal growth. I've worked with clients from many walks of life and with varied needs including, but not limited to, first responders/medical professionals, educators and people going through life transitions. My areas of expertise are in Behavior Modification, Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Risk Assessment, Trauma and Life Cycle adaptation. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and a Humanistic approach to help my clients bring out the best in themselves. I like to use compassion, thoughtful questions, and guided self reflection because I think in counseling we should start wherever you are and work collaboratively as partners in your journey towards a better quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have questions about a prospective therapist and best fit. I am open to any questions and it is my hope that we will make a great team and you will become that better version of yourself you're searching for.
Hello! My name is Pa. I am an individual, mother, wife, daughter, and a Hmong-American woman. I became a psychotherapist because I grew up witnessing how mental health is often dismissed in diverse ethnic communities. I saw how generational trauma affects our minds, bodies, and souls. These experiences fueled my passion to become a therapist who can connect and support individuals with diverse backgrounds. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I take a client-centered approach where I tailor our sessions to address your needs and goals. I provide a safe and supportive space for you to just be yourself. Together, we will identify and set goals that address your needs and concerns. We can also adjust and change goals as needed to adapt to the evolution of your journey.
