Salomon T. Garcia
Hello, my name is Salomon Garcia, I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in southern California. I have been practicing for over 6 years. I have worked with a broad range of individuals ranging from teen to older adults. I have helped clients struggling with anxiety, depression, work-stress, low self-esteem and life transitions.
I have helped a wide range of individuals working through anxiety, depression, and work/life stress using CBT, by challenging automatic negative and self-defeating thoughts.
My aim is to provide a relaxing and safe space to help people to be the best version of themselves.
First session
In our first session we will start off with a brief introduction and then dive into what brought you to therapy. The first session will help us to develop a plan based on what you would like to work on. This will help to guide our sessions moving forward. The initial session will be an opportunity for me to get to know you and vise versa.
Strengths
I have helped a wide range of individuals working through anxiety, depression, and work/life stress using CBT, by challenging automatic negative and self-defeating thoughts. In therapy we will explore triggers and negative thought patterns which lead to negative feelings and behavior.
Ideal clients
I work best with adults who are tired of white-knuckling anxiety, trauma, OCD, or a life transition—and who still want a life that feels like theirs. You don’t have to arrive “ready.” Most people I see are motivated and capable; they just don’t have a clear map for the thoughts, body sensations, and old survival patterns that take over in hard seasons. If you want practical tools (CBT and ACT), a relationship that stays respectful and collaborative (person-centered), and work that includes the nervous system—not only the mind (somatic)—you’ll likely feel at home here. I especially enjoy working with people who want to grow into a more authentic self without being rushed, analyzed, or talked out of what they feel.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Anxiety, trauma, OCD, and big life transitions can make your mind feel like a room you can’t leave. I’m an LCSW with 8+ years helping adults change that—not by talking you out of how you feel, but by working with how you think, what you do, and what your body does under threat. I use CBT to catch and challenge the automatic beliefs and rituals that keep you stuck. ACT to stop waiting for the feeling to vanish before you live. Person-centered work so you stay in the lead. And somatic practices so the nervous system has somewhere to go besides panic or freeze. Sessions are practical, paced, and grounded. The result clients describe most often: more room inside, clearer choices, and less of life spent managing the symptom.
