(she/her)
Hi there! I am a licensed therapist based in California. I see therapy as a joint venture where our knowledge and skills are combined to create solutions. In my practice, I bring kindness, humor, and authenticity to create a safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients to experience freedom. When it comes to treatment, no one-size-fits-all and every therapeutic alliance is unique.
We will start by reviewing important logistical information and what you can expect from the therapeutic process. I'll share a bit about my approach to therapy so you'll have a clear understanding of how we'll work together. From there, we'll focus on what brings you to therapy, exploring your concerns, goals, and what you hope to achieve. By the end of the session, we will collaborate on a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
I have years of experience in working with individuals ages 5-40+ across various settings (schools, foster care, intensive outpatient programs) which has broadened my ability to connect and relate with my clients. I am passionate about helping and empowering people to identify their strengths and capabilities and utilizing them to improve their own lives.
I believe therapy works best when there is a strong therapeutic relationship. I work well with individuals who are curious about themselves, willing to engage in honest conversations, and open to collaborating on a path toward healing and growth.
I incorporate psychodynamic treatment by helping clients explore how their early relationships and unconscious patterns influence their current emotional struggles. In my practice, I use this approach to build insight and support long-term change by making connections between past experiences and present behaviors.
I use person-centered therapy by creating a safe, empathetic space where clients feel heard and respected, which helps build trust and encourages self-exploration. My experience with this approach has shown me how powerful unconditional positive regard and genuine presence can be in fostering personal growth and healing.
