What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the initial consultation session, we will spend time getting to know each other, and to find out how to proceed. Future sessions will be more therapeutic in nature. During the first session, I will ask you about what brings you to therapy, and what symptoms you are experiencing, current and/ or past medications and treatment, your history that may include your childhood, education, relationships, and your present living situation and your career you may discuss what you expect to happen in the end you will have time to ask many questions you have regarding your treatment, your rights, confidentiality, and your responsibilities.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have been told that I make my clients feel welcomed, seen and heard.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Focuses on changing patterns of thinking (cognitive) and behavior to improve emotional responses and well-being. It helps you identify negative thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking.

Gestalt

Gestalt Therapy: Focuses on the present moment and personal responsibility. It emphasizes awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, aiming to integrate conflicting parts of the self into a cohesive whole.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): A therapy that helps process distressing memories by using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping). It aims to reduce the emotional impact of traumatic memories.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: Concentrates on finding practical solutions to current issues rather than exploring past causes. It focuses on strengths and resources, helping individuals set specific, achievable goals for change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Teaches mindfulness and acceptance of thoughts and feelings, while committing to actions aligned with personal values. It helps you make meaningful changes while accepting what is beyond your control.
