I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through a range of challenges—including addiction, recovery, healthcare challenges, and navigating changes in life. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to explore what’s holding you back and develop tools that help you learn, grow, and make meaningful change. My goal is to support you in finding clarity, building resilience, and creating the life you want to live.
In your first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive connection. I’ll ask questions to better understand your reasons for seeking therapy, your current challenges, and any goals you may have. We’ll also talk about your history, what’s worked or not worked in the past, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. You’re welcome to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure. This session is about creating a foundation for trust and setting the stage for meaningful progress.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is empowering clients with practical tools they can use to create real, lasting change in their lives. I believe deeply that each person is the expert of their own experience, so rather than guiding decisions, I support clients in discovering what’s right for them. I offer a safe, confidential space where they can speak openly, explore difficult experiences, and work through challenges without fear of judgment. My approach is collaborative, respectful, and focused on helping clients build the insight and skills they need to move forward with confidence.
I work with women and men who are facing challenges related to domestic violence, substance use, chronic medical conditions, and many other challenges life brings. Many of my clients are seeking support as they rebuild after trauma, manage recovery, or adjust to life with ongoing health issues. They often feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—but they’re ready to take steps toward change. I offer a nonjudgmental space to explore their experiences, build practical coping tools, and begin the process of healing and growth.
I received a certification in using DBT after an intense 6 month training. I use DBT when deemed appropriate for clients who are devoted to learning changes and plan to continue therapy for 3-6 months.
I use scripture, prayer, and discussions about faith in sessions, helping clients find spiritual meaning and guidance while addressing emotional or relational struggles within a biblical framework.
I generally use CBT as a time-limited therapy that helps clients identify and challenge distorted thoughts and beliefs, and change unhelpful behaviors.
I use this approach alone or integrated with CBT or DBT to encourages clients to develop present-moment awareness and nonjudgmental acceptance of thoughts and emotions.
