I am a licensed mental health therapist in Georgia with 11 years of experience working as a counselor and life coach. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, to mention a few were substance abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, women adjusting to different stages in life, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD plus much more. My therapy style is client centered focusing on CBT and solution focus. I'm easy to talk to but I'm here to help (you pay me to be honest ;) so shoot my feedback from the hip but share it in a loving manner. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client or family centered, and solution focus. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!
In our first session, you should expect that we will go over some housekeeping things and complete the intake, where you share your story of what brought you to my virtual office. In addition, I go over our skill sets the first 4 weeks to help you gain emotional regulation on your own. So during that 1st session, will go over a skill set and discuss the next steps. SIDE NOTE FOR FIRST TIME CLIENT'S Your appointment time is reserved especially for you and your care. This dedicated time allows us to focus fully on your mental health and ensures you receive the attention and support you deserve. Because this time has been set aside specifically for you, and is no longer available to other clients, we kindly ask that you prioritize attending your scheduled sessions to make success achievable. We deeply value your time and commitment to the therapeutic process, and we ask for that same respect in return by attending appointments and completing any agreed-upon work between sessions. Consistency and engagement are key components of meaningful progress, and when both are present, you’re much more likely to experience improvements in your emotional well-being and overall mental health. With that said, it's important to respect each other's time, and with success comes boundaries and expectations. As I said earlier, I like to be transparent, with traditional insurance and cash payors, my practice allows 2 no shows and/or 2 late cancelations, then at that point if the client does either, the third time, they will be discharged from my care and provided a list of new providers. If a client is utilizing medicaid, my practice only allows 1 no show and/or 1 late cancel, after the second no show/late cancelations, the client will be discharged and provided a new list of providers. Life happens and on occasion, you may run late. If you are running late to a session (more than 4 minutes), please: Log into the patient portal to send me a message letting me know you are running late and approximately what time you expect to join • If I do not hear from you by the 00:15 minute mark of the hour, the session will be marked as a no-show. I take your mental health serious and want to set you up for success, so I ask that you do the same as well as value our time together so you can be successful!

I'm best positioned to serve clients who are ready for a balanced experience: they need to feel deeply heard (Person-Centered) but also want to walk away with a concrete "game plan" (Solution-Focused/CBT). I am a fit for individuals who feel "stuck" in their current circumstances but believe they have the capacity to change. My approach is tailored for clients who value a therapist who is both a compassionate listener and a strategic partner. I mentioned before that I shoot from the hip, my ideal client will not only respect but value a transparent but organized approach. Mindset: You are likely looking for a collaborative relationship where you are the expert on your life. You appreciate a space that is non-judgmental and validating (Person-Centered) but are also eager to identify "what works" and do more of it (Solution-Focused). Concerns: My clients often struggle with anxiety, burnout, or life transitions where their typical coping strategies are no longer enough. You might feel overwhelmed by negative thought patterns (CBT) or a sense that you've lost touch with your own internal strengths. Therapy Goals: We aren't just here to talk about the problem; we are here to build a preferred future. Your goals likely include: Emotional Regulation: Gaining CBT tools to challenge self-doubt and manage stress. Actionable Steps: Breaking down large, daunting life changes into small, manageable successes. Self-Empowerment: Shifting from a "deficit" lens to a strengths-based one, where we leverage your existing resources to solve current challenges. By blending the warmth of person-centered care with the precision of CBT and the momentum of solution-focused therapy, I help you move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling capable and clear.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I believe it's important to have healthy self-talk and CBT will teach you how to identify and reconstruct the way you think.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I know that not everyone wants to be in therapy for a long time so I feel that teaching a person how to identify presenting issues and using problem solving skills, can help increase your tools to help maintain emotional stability.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I like to meet people where they are and find skills and tools that work for you.
Christian Counseling
I have been able to bring in spirituality when wanted or needed but if it's not what you want we leave spirituality out.

Met Dezirae for the first time, it was great! Easy to talk to, felt understood! It was like a great massage, where you are like,”Wait, it’s been an hour already?”
