Hi, I’m Julie. I’m a therapist with over 17 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges—including anxiety, depression, trauma, and major transitions. I’ve had the privilege of working with people of all ages in a variety of settings, which has deepened my respect for each person’s unique journey. My style is warm and collaborative, grounded in trust, compassion, and genuine respect. I use an eclectic, strength-based approach to help clients build practical tools, navigate difficulties, and reconnect with what matters most. Above all, I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly understood—because healing begins when you feel seen and accepted just as you are.
I’m a therapist who believes therapy should be real, practical, and actually helpful in your day to day life.
My work is grounded in REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy), which focuses on how your thoughts shape your emotions and behaviors and how to shift what’s not working. It’s less about just changing thoughts and more about challenging the unrealistic expectations we put on ourselves, other people, and life. It teaches you how to deal with reality even when reality is inconvenient, unfair, or just plain annoying because let's be honest, life is going to life, and it's in our best interest to learn how to accept that fact while still honoring how we may feel about it.
While I consider myself an REBT therapist it's important to note that I don’t do "one size fits all therapy." I pull from approaches like CBT and Narrative Therapy and I tailor the work to fit you, not the other way around. At my core, I lead with a humanistic approach, which means you’ll get honesty, support, and a space where you don’t have to filter who you are.
With couples and families, I use Family Systems approaches along with the Gottman Method (Level I certified) to help improve communication, rebuild trust, and create stronger, healthier dynamics.
As a provide I have over 22 years of experience in the field of behavioral health. I have developed specialization in the areas of family and relational issues, mental health concerns, drug/alcohol and relational addiction, codependency, and addressing issues of loss, grief and trauma. I am able to support a client alongside of 12 step recovery. My goal is to meet you where you are, help you address your concerns and find and apply solutions and skills for your well-being.

Hello, I’m Dennis Alvarez, PsyD.
I believe counseling should both encourage and thoughtfully challenge individuals to move toward their fullest potential by addressing the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of their lives. I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and a post-graduate diploma in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I am a licensed psychotherapist with experience across hospital, treatment, and private-practice settings.

My doctoral dissertation focused on trauma and psychological adaptation, further shaping my approach to helping individuals understand their internal patterns, build resilience, and restore a sense of meaning and purpose.
In my work with clients, I emphasize helping people understand how and why certain thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns develop, particularly in the context of anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-use histories. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment while also encouraging insight, personal responsibility, and growth. My goal is to help you move toward a more grounded, authentic, and meaningful life.

Hi, I'm JoAnn.
A client once said to me "I feel so heavy, everyday, it's like I'm swimming in mud". Many times people feel this way but they don't really know why. Everything is a struggle, even just trying to express a thought or a feeling.
It's so hard to feel happy and free or enjoy certain moments when mental/emotional struggles make you feel physically weighed down. Stress, anxiety & depression all have the capacity to make you feel unmotivated and downright exhausted before you even start your day.
It's important for you to understand the effects stress, anxiety or depression can have on you not only mentally/emotionally but physically as well. Let me help you work through those struggles so that you can feel free and enjoy life again.
I try to provide a safe and private space where someone can process their feelings and emotions and discuss the difficulties they are experiencing. I like to help people find solutions to the problems they are having and help them continue living their lives without their traumas or their past weighing them down. Every person deserves to live life to the fullest.

Wondering if counseling really helps? Well, I’m here to tell you that counseling doesn’t have to be complicated. It is definitely beneficial and helpful. Counseling is about building a trusting relationship with your therapist. It’s knowing that you can talk to your therapist about anything that comes to mind. You don’t have to second-guess yourself, because counseling is all about you. It’s a place where you will be understood, where you’ll be listened to, and where you will be supported. Our ultimate goal is to increase your overall well-being. I do my best to provide my clients with a safe and comforting environment where they are free to express themselves. My clients are able to explore their thoughts, current situations, address stressors, life changes, relationship conflicts, grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, and a multitude of issues. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas who adores working with children and adolescents. I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and have been working in Community Mental Health services since COVID. I am a follower of Christ and I love helping people get through hard times, regardless of who they are or where they come from.
My professional background started in Applied Behavioral Analysis, where I worked with children on the spectrum in many different clinical settings. Since then, I have acquired my LPC and have found a passion for working with children and adolescents. Through clinical experience, compassion, and empathy, I support and assist those willing to make a positive difference in their lives. I pride myself in providing a safe and supportive space to work side by side to overcome traumas and barriers. I specialize in addressing cognitive behavioral issues. I work with women who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, or disconnected from their sense of self. Many of the women I support struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s needs while neglecting their own.
Therapy with me is a space to slow down, gain clarity, and understand the patterns that keep showing up in your life. Together, we’ll work to strengthen your sense of self, improve communication and boundaries, and develop coping strategies that support long-term emotional well-being—not just short-term relief.
If you’re looking for support that goes beyond symptom management and helps you create meaningful, lasting change, you don’t have to do that work alone.
Having worked in the educational field for many years, I chose to go into to counseling in order to help others who are in need of understanding, support and encouragement. Allowing someone to express their thoughts, feeling and helping them see or understand what may be holding them back or creating issues in their life is rewarding. My aim is help others learn how to manage and go forward with all they have experienced and encountered.
