Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Texas. I completed my undergraduate degree in social work at the University of North Texas and went on to earn my master’s degree in social work at Texas Christian University. With a strong foundation in education and experience, I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward healing, growth, and overall well-being. As an imperfect person myself, I am deeply committed to serving other imperfect people by creating a compassionate space for healing, understanding, and empowerment. My approach is rooted in authenticity and a genuine desire to help individuals navigate their unique journeys toward emotional well-being and personal growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I strive to create a warm, casual, and welcoming space where you feel safe to share your story. Your first session with me is all about getting to know you. I’ll ask questions to learn more about your current challenges, goals, and what brought you to counseling. We'll explore your needs, strengths, and any areas where you're feeling stuck. Together, we'll begin to outline a plan tailored to you, focusing on your goals and how we can work together to achieve them. This initial session is a collaborative process, where you can ask questions, share your expectations, and ensure that you feel comfortable and supported as we move forward. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer idea of what to expect from future sessions and a plan for how we can work together to help your soul shine.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths lie in my ability to create a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. My approach is deeply rooted in compassion, allowing me to connect with people on a human level and meet them where they are. I’m skilled at tailoring my methods to the unique needs of each individual, recognizing that no two journeys are the same. Another strength is my commitment to holistic well-being—I focus not just on addressing immediate concerns but also on helping clients build resilience and emotional strength for the long term. Finally, my lived experience of embracing imperfection and growth allows me to approach my work with authenticity, offering clients a relatable and approachable ally in their journey toward healing and empowerment.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I work with clients to help them recognize unhelpful or distorted thought patterns that contribute to their emotional distress. Through collaboration, we challenge these negative thoughts and replace them with more balanced and constructive perspectives. CBT's structured yet adaptable framework allows me to address each client’s challenges effectively, fostering resilience and long-term emotional well-being.

Eclectic

I regularly use an eclectic treatment approach in my practice to meet the diverse needs of my clients. This method involves drawing from various therapeutic techniques and theories, rather than adhering strictly to one. It’s grounded in the understanding that no single approach works for everyone, and flexibility is key to providing personalized care. People are complex and dynamic, and it honors their individuality, by combining tools and techniques thoughtfully to create a therapeutic environment that is both effective and compassionate, helping clients feel understood and empowered to achieve their goals.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I have extensive experience incorporating Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) into my clinical practice, as it aligns deeply with my core values of empathy, compassion, and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients. Person-Centered Therapy is effective because it prioritizes the therapeutic relationship, which research consistently shows is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. By offering unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity, I help clients access their inner resources and develop the resilience to navigate challenges.
