Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have over 20 years experience in CBT; recognize negative or unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns, and identify and explore how these emotions and thoughts can affect actions. CBT helps clients identify distorted or negative thought patterns which may leads a client to maladaptive behaviors. Understanding how our automatic thought patterns and learned behaviors shape how we act, react and feel. I use a variety of interventions when working with clients.

This is the first time that I've seen. Lisa Edwards. I enjoy that she was very interactive with me, she participated in the conversation and she act like she truly was listening to me and not just nodding her head and saying yes. She communicated well with me. She made sure what of what I wanted to work on and we will be discussing goals in our next meeting.
