New clients continue care with this provider

Greetings! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I was born in Miami, Florida, but raised in SeatPleasant, Maryland...the DMV area for those who know! Shortly after high school I joined the Marines and enjoyed meeting and making new friends while experiencing the world. I currently reside in Spring, TX. I find it my pleasure to assist others in rediscovering their self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect to answer a few questions as I get to know you and the challenges you face. Together we will develop the goals you want to work towards and accomplish. If you're up to opening up a little more, then we can also dive deeper into your "whys" in order to retrain the way you process life experiences.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked in the mental health community for over 13 years, traveled to different states/countries, and meeting others from diverse cultures, I find it easy to meet others where they are with an open mind. Rather than allowing social norms to dictate a client's life, I encourage my clients to consider what works for them.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I find myself drawn to the Veteran population, women of color, couples experiencing a break down in communication, and anyone struggling to figure out this thing we call life.

CBT allows for a broader scope to assist clients. I have found this type of therapy to be more flexible for clients to explore and link their thoughts/behavior.
