As a clinician, my objective with you is simple--to help you understand how to prioritize yourself without guilt. In my sessions we explore the root causes of your self-abandonment, self-sabotage, and self-betrayal. From that root, we identify the repeating patterns that have arrested your emotional investment in yourself, your wellness, and your needs. We use all of that information to disrupt the behaviors that you've learned to keep you hushed, compliant and overlooked. Being able to name your emotions, your needs, and your experiences--whether they be anxiety, depression, life transitions & adjustments, dating--all of them require understanding how to identify, express, confront and process your emotions. In my practice, we don't just talk about your emotions and trauma--we do something about them.

With over 15+ years of experience, I’ve made it my mission to offer inclusive, compassionate, and yes, a little bit fabulous therapy! I’ve worked in a wide range of settings, from schools to community mental health centers, and now I bring that diverse expertise into my private practice. Whether you’re an individual, couple, or family, I provide therapy that’s culturally competent, trauma-informed, and tailored to your unique journey, using approaches like CBT, EMDR, DBT, Solution Focused, and Racial Trauma Therapy.
A proud Philadelphia native, I hold two graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, an Executive MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business, and a bachelor's degree from Kutztown University. My practice is primarily focused on supporting BIPOC communities in navigating mental health, dismantling stigma, and improving access to quality care. However, I also welcome anyone seeking therapy through a culturally competent, anti-racist, queer-affirming, and inclusive lens. My approach is rooted in understanding the cultural, social, and racial dynamics that impact mental health. At SLAY Therapy, my goal is simple: to create a space where you feel empowered to embrace your whole self, no filters needed.
Additionally, I thoughtfully use AI-supported tools to enhance the therapeutic process, such as creating personalized reflections, exercises, and resources that support our work together. AI never replaces clinical judgment, human connection, or your voice, and your comfort with these tools will always be respected.
Today’s the day to SLAY: Start Loving All of You. Let’s slay together!
Hi, I’m Tiffany Mack. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, but more importantly, I’m someone who’s here to walk alongside you through life’s ups and downs. I know how overwhelming it can feel when challenges pile up, and my goal is to create a space where you can breathe, feel supported, and know you’re not alone. I believe everyone has the ability to grow and heal, and therapy is about working together to discover the tools and strengths that are already within you.
**Please note that I can do appointments via video or phone call, whichever you prefer**
I believe in the saying, “If you give a man a fish he eats for a day, but if you teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime.” I teach techniques that can be implemented to overcome current hurdles and are also transferrable to be used in the future as needs arise.
My approach is to work collaboratively with clients to meet them where they are and learn their goals and aspirations so that we can develop a plan together to overcome obstacles. I have experience and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. My work is focused on helping individuals and families that are struggling with mood and learning disorders, anxiety, trauma, and other challenges.
I primarily practice psychodynamic techniques, and also incorporate CBT, mindfulness, trauma focused, Family Dynamics, Family Systems, and other modalities as appropriate.
I have diverse experience working with children, families, and adults across settings including schools, homes, hospitals, long-term care facilities, family court and juvenile justice systems, as well as those involved with DHS, foster care, and the adoption process.
Working with individuals & families experiencing and living with health challenges and/or disabilities is of particular interest to me.
I started my career in human services at Northeast Treatment Centers in Philadelphia, PA where, over the course of 7 years, I worked as Youth Advocate for adjudicated adolescents, lead clinician for a community-based treatment team and outpatient therapist. After becoming a licensed psychotherapist in 2014, I worked as an outpatient therapist for multiple companies in the Philadelphia area where I helped clients manage or overcome symptoms related to anxiety, stress, trauma, depression and more.
My therapeutic approach is strongly rooted in humanistic psychology. As described in an article from the Association for Humanistic Psychology, this approach offers a "crucial opportunity to lead our troubled culture back to its own healthy path. More than any other therapy, Humanistic-Existential therapy models democracy. It imposes ideologies of others upon the client less than other therapeutic practices. Freedom to choose is maximized. We validate our client's human potential."

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have worked as a therapist treating adults in individual and group therapy for 4 years. I specialize in anxiety, grief, and trauma. My approach includes therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narriative Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. I'm always looking to expand my approach to best support my clients. My experience has been with community mental heath, two CIRC programs, and providing short term grief therapy at the Medical Examiner's office. Each of these have provided me with greater understanding of the system of care of Philadelphia and the reality of navigating it especially when resources can be nonexistent for housing or other basic needs. My specialities in grief and trauma are two sides of the same coin - intense loss can be traumatic. This philosophy is central to how I approach supporting clients in their journey. Both need to be address to help the healing really start.

I really enjoy people. I was born with a natural curiosity for people and why they are who they are. I've always wanted to challenge myself and get what I can out of life. Which has given me a lot of life experience. The military, martial arts, marriage, fatherhood, and counseling have given me some of the most formative experiences of my life. This is one of my favorite quotes, "Mistakes are part of the dues one pays for a full life." - Sophia Loren

Being your authentic self in this world can be hard, but it is possible. Often times we have systems weighing us down that get in the way of that process. I want to guide you on your journey of self-discovery and help you recognize your own strengths. My wish is for you to find support and become more empowered.
Counseling is one way you can begin to work through these challenges and in a way is a first step in self-advocacy. It offers an outside perspective and a type of scaffolding as you build yourself up. Communication, stress management and dealing with the intensity of daily emotions can be overwhelming, especially when you realize that your brain is considered different from the “default.” As a counselor, I believe that when lived experience is combined with formal schooling the results can create a better connection.
Let’s work together on goals that you find important, because you know yourself better than anyone else! If you are ready to schedule you can click on the book now button.

I’m a firm believer that we are all carriers of deep, complex life stories. These stories build and shape our inner worlds and can be both elevating and/or burdensome to us. They build our reality and how we place ourselves within it. As a licensed clinical social worker, my work focuses on helping my clients interact with their stories, organize their habits, and shape the mental patterns that they are functioning within.
We work together to make certain these stories are in alignment with the life they want to build for themselves.
My approach to mental health care focuses on the mind-body connection, and a deep emphasis on both thought and bodily sensation awareness.
I hope to partner with my clients as they find more security and self understanding within our work together. I look forward to seeing you all within the space and am excited to begin our work together!
