I'm Jade Leonard, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Army veteran, and trauma informed professional who's dedicated to helping people reclaim their lives. My journey in the military and as a mother has taught me resilience, discipline, and the quiet strength it takes to face life's toughest challenges, and I bring the same dedication to my therapy practice. I specialize in DBT, trauma informed care, and Solution Focused modalities. Through a combination of evidence-based strategies and compassionate guidance, I help clients regulate emotions, heal from trauma, and build the life they want. My mission is simple, to transform strength into growth, pain into resilience, and challenges into opportunity.

I know what it means to serve under pressure because I've lived in it. As an Army veteran and trauma informed therapist, I understand the weight of responsibility, survival, and silent battles that don't end when the uniform comes off. Today, I used the lived experience to help others reclaim control of their lives, emotions, and future. Through DBT and trauma-focused care, I work with veterans, first responders, fellow therapists, and everyday people who carry more than anyone can see. Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I help develop crisis skills, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness with communication, and mindfulness to reduce harmful behaviors, manage intense emotions and improve relationships while validating feelings and experiences while encouraging positive change to increase emotional stability, improve over-all being and help clients feel more in control
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients accept difficult thoughts and feeling while staying committed to meaningful life goals. By teaching mindfulness and value-based decision making, I support clients to take healthy action even when emotions are uncomfortable. I encourage clients to notice their thoughts without letting them control their behavior to build psychological flexibility and live more purposefully.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I help clients identify their strengths and focus on achievable goals by guiding clients to recognize what is already working, building practical steps toward positive change, and encourage realistic solutions that improve confidence and motivation.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I help clients process traumatic experiences and reduce distressing thoughts and emotions. By teaching coping skills, relaxation techniques, and healthy thinking patterns, I support clients feel safer and more in control. Together we will work through trauma memories in a structured and supportive way to improve emotional stability and resilience.
Group Therapy
I utilize group therapy to provide a supportive space to share experiences and learn from one another by facilitating open discussion and guided activities to help increase communication skills, emotional awareness, and mutual support. Here you can build coping skills while gaining feedback from peers to decrease loneliness and foster connection and confidence in your ability to manage challenges.
