Hi, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Delaware, with a certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional. I have been in practice since 2018, after graduating from Millersville University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. I am passionate about empowering individuals to find their inner strength and resilience to tackle life's trials. My practice primarily focuses on children and adolescents, as well as, adults that experienced childhood trauma.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session would focus most heavily on beginning the relationship you, or your child, desire to feel safe and secure. I find this essential to allow you to be open about your experiences and to find the healing you need. This session would also focus on a general overview of what you are currently facing and the goals you wish to accomplish during our time.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My personal experiences early in life have deeply shaped my career path in helping others. It provided me with a unique insight into the challenges faced by children and teens beyond their control. While also grasping the continued struggle to overcome those core beliefs as an adult. I understand firsthand the impact of issues like parent conflict, changing families, abuse, isolation, and rejection. I offer the empathetic and unconditional care needed for healing. As a male in this field, I serve as a role model for young individuals and a bridge for adults seeking support. I break the mold of traditional gender roles by openly acknowledging and expressing my emotions, encouraging all clients to do the same. My compassion and sensitivity to these areas assists individuals in healing and personal growth, fostering self-belief and promoting resilience.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

My educational background is centered on CBT and I have used this approach effectively for the past 6 years. I adapt interventions to meet the understanding of children, teens, and adults. Most often focusing on how to challenge distorted thinking.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

Since starting my private practice in the past year I have utilized this approach for most of my young clients. It has allowed me to gain a deeper insight into the client, the parent's perspective, and the inner workings of the family.

Play Therapy

I have used this strategy for the past 6 years when working with children that have difficulty identifying their emotions, communicating their needs, and understanding their perspective of situations.

Trauma Informed Care

After completing a certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional this year, I have begun heavily emphasizing this style of care. It has allowed for clients to increase their ability to regulate their emotions, understand the sensory memories that trigger their trauma, and approach new learning of past situations.
