New to Grow
Welcome, and congratulations on beginning your therapeutic journey. I am an LCSW with over 20 years in the field whose approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I believe in meeting you where you are, helping you build insight and resilience at your own pace. I was drawn to this work out of a deep curiosity about human connection and a desire to help others navigate life's complexities. It has been so rewarding to help others achieve peaceful solutions to issues in their lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
At our first session, we'll get to know one another and discuss what brings you to therapy. It's normal to be nervious at your first session. We can take it one step at a time, and I'm here to guide you through the process. I look forward to meeting with you when you are ready. Together, we'll explore patterns, develop new coping skills, and work towards lasting change. We'll clarify goals, build a strong therapeutic alliance, and explore past experiences and current challenges.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
The most important thing to me is that you feel safe and respected in an environment that feels supportive and nonjudgemental. I practice active and empathic listening. If you are going through something difficult, I will listen so you feel understood and can begin to safely explore your struggles in a constructive way. Together, we will set individualized goals to help you move forward in life, whether it's regarding work, relationships, or some other personal goals you are working on achieving. Together, we can come up with a plan that feels manageable, where you have the needed support to do so.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with individuals, couples, and families to help them identify how they can recognize and manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, or difficulty in adjusting to life stressors. I work with children, teens, and adults, and will help you find a plan that feels empowering as well as achievable.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
As a therapist, I utilize CBT to collaboratively identify a client's dysfunctional thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and then use structured techniques to reframe them.
