Licensed professional counselor with extensive experience specializing in attachment-based therapy and trauma-informed care. Skilled in helping individuals and families explore early relational bonds to foster secure, meaningful connections and promote emotional healing. Deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive therapeutic space that empowers clients to process unresolved trauma and develop healthier, more fulfilling relationships. My own journey has been shaped by years of infertility, grief and loss, navigating being a new mom of twins, a NICU stay followed by other medical complexities. These experiences taught me the power of resilience, empathy, and genuine connection.
A safe and supportive environment that allows you to feel heard.
One of my greatest strengths as a counselor is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with clients. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel heard and empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings. My empathy and active listening skills allow me to connect deeply with people and tailor my approach to meet each client's needs.
Those who have suffered childhood abuse and trauma, relationship difficulties and relationship hurt, the loss of a loved one, medical complexities and/or hospital stays, and mothers (those in waiting, new, or seasoned) navigating all of the things- infertility, difficult pregnancy, traumatic birth, NICU and/or medical complexities, postpartum challenges, or overall relational challenges early on or later in life.
Attachment based therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the early relationships between individuals and their caregivers. Understanding how these early experiences shape how people form and maintain relationships throughout their lives. When using attachment-based therapy we explore early childhood experiences and attachment figures, examine patterns of behavior and interaction in relationships, develop emotional awareness and expression, and practice skills for building trust and healthy relationships. This in return allows us to work through unresolved conflicts and trauma.
