I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with more than 20 years of experience working with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, substance use, life transitions, and complex mental health concerns. My career has included outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient treatment, veterans' mental health, substance use treatment, forensic behavioral health, and clinical leadership. These experiences have taught me that people are rarely defined by a diagnosis or a single difficult chapter in their lives. I try to understand the whole person—their experiences, relationships, strengths, challenges, and what matters most to them.
My style is warm, straightforward, collaborative, and practical. I won't simply tell you what you want to hear, but I also won't judge you for where you are. I believe good therapy should give you a place to feel understood while also helping you develop insight, skills, and realistic strategies for moving forward. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy. I tailor these approaches to the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a particular treatment model.
You don't need to be in crisis to begin therapy, and you don't need to have everything figured out before you start. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or ready for something to change, therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of what's happening, and begin figuring out what comes next. My goal is for you to leave therapy not only feeling heard, but also feeling more capable of handling your life with greater clarity, confidence, and choice.
Therapy doesn't need to feel mysterious or overly formal. I approach my work with curiosity, honesty, and a healthy respect for the complexity of being human. Since 2017, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of mental health settings, including intensive outpatient, residential, and inpatient psychiatric programs. I received my MSW in 2020 and have been practicing as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker since 2023.
I strive to meet people where they're at while offering transparent and direct feedback. Sometimes that means sitting with difficult emotions, and sometimes it means gently challenging beliefs, internal narratives, or patterns that may be getting in the way of the life you want.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker and live in Minnesota, where I have been in private practice for almost 25 years. I really love my work with clients. I especially enjoy helping clients move from feeling stuck in their lives to feeling empowered. My goal is to help clients live the life they most desire and I have helped thousands of clients to do this.
Hi everyone,
I’m a Therapist with 11 years of experience, two Master’s degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor’s from UC Berkeley. I specialize in:
1) Anxiety and helping people overcome the constant thought spiral that overwhelms them or the negative things they tell themselves and just can't seem to escape.
2) Helping men who are struggling with sexual dysfunction, performance anxiety, or worry that’s taking over their daily life.
3) Guiding men and women who are navigating relationships and relationship difficulties of all kinds—familial, friendships, romantic (monogamous, polyamorous, open, or still figuring it out)—and the communication challenges that come with them.
My approach is grounded in helping you understand your thought patterns, where they may be a disservice to you and how to change them in order to create behavioral change. We’ll set clear goals together and break them down into doable steps, and I’ll be here to encourage you rather than judge you if things feel hard along the way. I also make a point of highlighting the strengths you already have and reminding you of them on the days you forget. Supporting people in feeling less alone, more understood, and genuinely heard is the part of this work that brings me joy.
Please note: I don’t provide couples counseling, but I do offer individual therapy focused on relationship concerns, intimacy, and identity. I am LGBTQ+ and kink‑affirming. This is a safe space.

Welcome. I help clients navigate midlife and later life transitions. My goal is to help you feel as mentally and emotionally well as possible while moving through these changes with greater ease. I find it deeply rewarding to help clients discover meaning and fulfillment during these stages of their lives. In our sessions, I listen closely and support you as you work through your challenges. I help you gain insight and develop practical strategies, so you feel less anxious and depressed, have more satisfying family relationships, thrive at work or enjoy retirement, and live in alignment with your values. I also understand how disorienting it can feel to navigate change without a clear map, whether that's an empty nest, a career shift, retirement, or the loss of someone important to you. My own life experience and years of practice have taught me that these transitions, while hard, can also open the door to a deeper sense of purpose.
