LMFT, 10 years of experience
Hi! This is Snow Lee, I have over 10+ years working with individuals and providing human service. My background consists of working in different settings such as inpatient, outpatient, and crisis. I have experience and understanding of working with individuals from a diverse background. I start my work by collaborating with my clients working through their current issues and helping them identify its root cause. We work together by becoming aware and conscious of their thoughts, behaviors, & emotions and it its influences and relation to their root issues.
In our first sessions we start with introductions and learning about each other as well as what to expect or accomplish in therapy. We work by understanding the individual's current struggle and symptoms better.
Having worked with individuals for over 10 years I have developed my own unique style to strive to be the efficient and effective in therapy. (1) We first work through understanding the symptoms and problems (2) its root cause and influences on the individual (3) how to go about managing it and creating change. Many clients have commented on my insight on helping them understand their patterns better and being able to provide them with tools and skills that they can take away from session to make a difference in their day to day.
I enjoy working with individuals who are eager to change or make a difference in their life but feel stuck or don't know how to go about getting themselves out of their vicious unhealthy cycle. Those we are open minded and are willing to learn and grow and become a different version of themselves will find success.

Snow really helped me find a calm state of mind from which to engage with community challenges this week. I am heading into a potentially volatile situation with the confidence that I can be a source of peace and stability rather than a follower of other people's passions and anger.

Snow let me have a lot of space to simply talk today, without necessarily trying to analyze each story I told. It surprised me where my thoughts went, and that alone revealed some older issues I need to reflect on more. Also, he challenged me a bit at the end by pointing out that my interpretation of events in my life might be accurate or inaccurate, inviting me to revisit them with a more open mind.

I really appreciate that Snow speaks at a pace that gives me time to process his thoughts and respond when I choose to, without feeling like I'm butting in or not participating enough. Definitely looking forward to our next meeting to continue working through a variety of topics without having to rush.
I practice DBT on a daily using mindfulness and awareness to help me better understanding my experience. Through recognizing the triggers and my environment and its influences it allows me to regulate myself better and have tolerance and be more forgiving and accepting. I work with client's by helping them become aware of themself, and their maladaptive patterns of thoughts, behavior and responses.
I use CBT on a daily basis in which it helps manage my negative thinking patterns, behavior, and mood. By reframing and understanding my experience from different perspective it allows me to be more open to my experience. I help clients manage their thoughts and attune to their goals. I have worked with clients who have negative, intrusive thoughts and helped them identify, process, and work through their challenges.
As a therapist who emphasis deeply on mindfulness based therapy it is one of the tools and skills that helps me navigate experiences. I have 4+ years of meditating and utilizing mindfulness on a day to day and have found that it has dramatically improved my mental health and mood. Through my personal experiences it helps me better understand and teach it to my clients.
