I am Dr. Ann Dillard, a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am a relational and trauma-informed therapist specializing in mother–daughter relationships, attachment repair, and culturally grounded healing. My work centers on helping high-functioning women and adult daughters who feel successful on the outside but are internally burdened by anxiety, unresolved trauma, complex family dynamics, or betrayal wounds. Many of the women I serve have carried responsibility for years, often as the strong one, the peacemaker, or the overachiever. They may struggle with boundaries, emotional safety, or patterns that seem to repeat across generations. Together, we gently untangle those inherited narratives and relational patterns so you can understand not only what happened to you but also how they continue to live in your body and relationships today. My approach goes beyond traditional talk therapy. I integrate brain–body modalities such as Brainspotting, somatic therapies, attachment-based work, and parts-informed approaches to access healing at both the cognitive and subcortical levels. This allows us to work directly with the nervous system, where trauma, attachment injuries, and relational imprints are often stored. As a therapist and researcher, my doctoral work focused on culturally nuanced mother–daughter dynamics, particularly within Caribbean-American and cross-cultural contexts. I understand how culture, migration, faith, and generational expectations shape identity, attachment, and emotional expression. I provide a space where those complexities are honored rather than pathologized. My goal is for more than symptom reduction. It is a transformation. I help women move from survival patterns to relational clarity, from emotional reactivity to embodied stability, and from inherited scripts to authentic self-expression. Healing in my practice is intentional, grounded, and sustainable.

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I choose to practice part-time because I truly enjoy this work and the people I have the privilege of walking alongside. Counseling isn’t just what I do—it’s work I value deeply. I believe meaningful change happens through genuine connection, trust, and a safe space where you feel heard and understood. I have experience working with both adolescents and adults, supporting individuals through substance use concerns, infertility, adoption journeys, and a wide range of mental health challenges. Whether you’re navigating a specific life transition or feeling weighed down by ongoing struggles, you don’t have to face it alone. I deeply respect the courage it takes to seek help. Reaching out is often the hardest step, and it’s also a powerful one. I’ve seen how people develop incredible strength, resilience, and clarity as they move through life’s difficulties. My role is to support you in discovering that strength within yourself and to walk with you as you build the life you want and deserve. If you’re ready to begin—or even just considering it—I welcome the opportunity to connect.

Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been practicing for over 20 years. I work with adults, couples, and families including children, and adolescents. My goal is to work with each person individually from a person-centered perspective. I want you to feel that you are in control of your progress by identifying your needs and focusing on your strengths . My specialties include depression, anxiety, relationship issues, behavioral challenges, post-partum depression, parenting, chronic illness, and grief. I am available to see clients in Kentucky in-person or telehealth, and Michigan or Minnesota via telehealth. The person centered approach means that the client is the center of everything from the initial assessment, to the development of the goals, to the treatment that is provided. It is important that you know you are accepted and with therapy you are able to address the concerns you have and learn to effectively work through them. I understand therapy can feel uncomfortable and the thought of sharing yourself with someone you don't know (yet) can be overwhelming. Give me a call and we can talk for an initial conversation to see if it will be a good fit.

My faith, family, and life on the farm keep me grounded and remind me daily of the beauty in simple moments. I’ve always felt called to help others—ever since my first psychology class in high school, I knew this was the path for me. After earning my bachelor’s in psychology and master’s in counseling psychology, I spent years working in various mental health roles that deepened my understanding of people’s struggles and strengths. These experiences helped shape my holistic, compassionate approach to therapy.

Feeling stuck, stressed, or misunderstood? You’re not alone — and support is closer than you think. I’m Karie, a neurodivergent Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor certified in ADHD and autism, and the founder of Imagine Perspectives, a mental health practice established in 2024. I work with children, teens, and adults who are ready to navigate life’s challenges, build confidence, and find practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. Since 2012, I’ve also offered adult and pediatric hypnotherapy to help clients achieve emotional balance, clarity, and personal growth. At Imagine Perspectives, therapy isn’t just about sitting and talking. It’s about creating a warm, welcoming space where you feel safe, seen, and understood. We use interactive tools, games, art, and play to help clients explore challenges in ways that feel natural, engaging, and empowering — meeting each person exactly where they are. In addition to therapy, we offer one- and two-day interactive workshops for children and adults. These experiences provide a chance to pause, reset, and gain tools that build resilience, spark confidence, and inspire hope — even when life feels overwhelming. They’re practical, fun, and designed to leave participants feeling refreshed and ready to approach life with a new perspective. Whether you’re here for therapy or a workshop, my goal is the same: to create a space where you feel truly seen, supported, and empowered. A place where your experiences are honored, your challenges met with compassion, and your strengths celebrated. Because everyone deserves a space to grow, connect, and simply be themselves.

Offering direct, compassionate therapy that turns awareness into real-world change. Feeling a bit stuck in life? Been in therapy before, but not sure how to use your tools? Do you identify as a high achiever or perfectionist who's motivated for change? Then we may be a good fit! As someone who has done therapy before, I understand the first step to transformation is not always easy. Welcome! I'm Janna Fennell, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in MN, VA, and NY. With 10 years of experience, I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology and English from Dartmouth College and my Master’s in Counseling from Bethel University. My therapy style is direct, yet compassionate and collaborative. I create a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space while staying honest and solution-focused. I use a holistic, integrative approach, blending evidence-based talk therapy with mind-body and mindfulness practices. I ask thought-provoking questions, offer feedback, and challenge unhelpful patterns. This has helped teens and adults learn new tools, self-reflect, and dig deep so they can grow and create changes that they seek. I encourage people to actively participate in therapy and expect effort in making changes to achieve their goals. I use a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to your individual needs. Some approaches include CBT, DBT, client-focused, short-term solution-focused, strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and integrative mental health methods (e.g., breathwork, mindfulness, meditation, PMR, body scan). For clients new to therapy, keep in mind it may sometimes require stepping outside of your comfort zone by learning new tools that you may not have tried before, hearing a different perspective you may not have considered, and even talking about concerns that may be difficult to process, but it does get easier with time. Remember, I am there every step of the way to help guide and support you!

My first career includes 17 years of retail management. I worked in multiple divisions, environments, and roles within the retail management industry. Most of my experiences were in the Big-Box retail environments or within the corporate office environment, so I understand the expectations and stressors of P&L management, marketing, staff performance/recruitment/training & development, shrinkage, O.S.H.A. compliance, and merchandising. I transitioned from the retail management industry to the human services industry in March of 2010 after receiving my master’s degree in Human Services with a specialty in Mental Health Counseling. I recently obtained a doctorate degree in Human Services. This information is pertinent for adults who need assistance to cope with work-life balance, corporate industry standards, stressful work environments, conflict management with co-workers, and work performance due to compassion fatigue or inappropriate time management.

I'm a licensed therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions. My approach focuses on developing awareness of how our thoughts, emotions and behaviors are connected, fostering resilience, and empowering clients to work through their challenges. I enjoy creating a non-judgmental and affirming space for adults with short-term or long-standing mental health and emotional distress. Feelings of anxiety and the need for isolation can be internal cues to request reconnection to what makes our lives meaningful. Ideally, enjoying the moment, knowing how to soothe overwhelming feelings, and engaging our sparkling personalities helps us feel alive. My clients enjoy my approach of exploring practical strategies by using guiding questions. Exploring thoughts and emotional pain benefits from curiosity and compassion. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Minnesota from Saint Paul to Rochester! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Minnesota.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Grief?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Grief, is filtering therapists in Minnesota that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use.
