Hi! My name is Bianca, I am an Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has spent over a decade in the lives of people who needed someone in their corner. From community centers to classrooms to living rooms, I've worked alongside children, families, teenage girls finding their voice, kids who had every reason not to trust another adult, and everyday people just trying to make it through. That range shaped me. I work with children, teens, young adults, and families carrying trauma, transitions, and the weight of just trying to hold it together — and I'm committed to making sure cost is never the reason someone doesn't get support. My name is Ana Vasquez. I am a mother, wife, Latina, and psychotherapist. Through my personal life experience and professional training, I can support you in an individual or couples’ psychotherapy process as you navigate life’s challenges from a safe, nonjudgmental space with empathic listening. My main areas of expertise in psychotherapy include: Attachment and Parenting: As a mother, I know that pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood can activate our own childhood wounds. Motherhood involves a transformation of the self and of the way we relate to our partner, our own parents, our support networks, and friends. In psychotherapy, I will support you through this process and help you find balance between your role as a mother and as a professional. Relationships and Family Challenges: Through individual therapy, I can support you in understanding the generational patterns that have influenced your past and current relationship choices. I can help you identify the non-functional relationship patterns you may have repeated over time that have not contributed to choosing or creating a healthy partnership. I can also accompany you in the process of creating and sustaining a stable, long-term relationship from an emotionally healthy place. Immigration: Migrating to another country involves a major life change that impacts us internally and challenges us on many levels. Migration often requires adapting to a new culture, a new language, new ways of being in the world, and new social norms. In psychotherapy, I will accompany you through the multiple changes and personal adjustments that emerge during this process.

I have found that many people enter therapy not because of a complex mental health issue but because of a general feeling of life not being what they would like it to be. I've been there. Many years ago I embarked on my own personal growth journey and I believe that has made me a more compassionate, empathic therapist. I am very active in the therapeutic process and give direct feedback and suggestions for implementing lifestyle changes. I have been a therapist for over 30 years, specializing primarily in depression/anxiety, relationship issues, and addiction/alcoholism. I believe that pain shared is pain lessened and that people can and do recover from issues that have been troubling them for years. I work with individuals and couples. I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach. Think you're ready to start making the changes that you've been thinking about for quite some time? Call me. Let's talk about it. I am a licensed clinical therapist and life coach with extensive experience helping individuals create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. My work is focused on supporting people who are high-functioning yet feel stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or uncertain about their next steps. Many of the clients I work with are successful on the outside but internally struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, burnout, or difficulty following through on the changes they know they need to make. I bring a results-oriented, structured, and insight-driven approach to my work. As a clinician, I am trained to assess emotional patterns, behavioral responses, and underlying drivers that keep people stuck. As a life coach, I help clients move forward with clarity, accountability, and intention. This dual lens allows me to meet clients where they are emotionally while also helping them create practical, forward-moving change in their daily lives. Clients often seek me out for my ability to quickly identify core issues, provide direct and thoughtful feedback, and help them gain perspective without judgment. I am known for balancing compassion with honesty and for helping clients feel both supported and challenged in ways that lead to real progress. My style is collaborative, grounded, and focused on building sustainable tools rather than temporary relief. I work with individuals who are ready to be intentional about their growth and committed to showing up for the process. Whether clients are navigating personal transitions, relationship concerns, emotional regulation, or a desire for greater fulfillment and direction, my goal is to help them feel more confident, grounded, and capable of creating the life they want to live.

With 17 years of experience in diverse therapeutic settings, I bring both depth and perspective to my work as a psychotherapist. My training is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with additional expertise in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, stress, and the complexities of relationships. I have a particular interest in supporting women’s mental health, drawing on my clinical knowledge and life experience to create a therapeutic space that is both compassionate and effective. I offer a mature, steady presence—one that balances warmth with skill—to guide clients toward growth, resilience, and meaningful change.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Illinois rather than a city like Chicago?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Illinois. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Illinois from Rockford to Springfield! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Illinois.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
