Megan Warren
I provide individual and group counseling to adults, and specialize in treating individuals with addictions, eating disorders, trauma, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. Having worked in the residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings, I believe in a holistic approach that is integrative, trauma-informed, psychodynamic, and empowering. I focus on treating the whole individual; emotionally, physically, and psychologically. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ and recovery communities, and I understand firsthand how important support is in healing and recovery work. My goal is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental, and safe therapeutic space for each client. I will work with you (not at you) to help you lead the fulfilling life you have imagined.
My counseling style is compassionate, empathic, and collaborative, with a side of humor!
First session
After leaving my first session, I hope my clients feel heard, understood, and supported.
Strengths
My counseling style is compassionate, empathic, and collaborative, with a side of humor! I can sit with you in silence to help you process big feelings, or redirect and challenge you on something that feels too hard. My own experiences in recovery help guide my approach to meet you where you're at, and help you make the changes you need to get to where you want to go!
Ideal clients
My ideal clients are individuals who are looking to make some changes in their lives, and they're ready to process the feelings that may be keeping them stuck. They're open to looking at all life experiences and how those have impacted them in ways they may not even be aware of. Let's process together, let's look at all core beliefs, wounds, habits, experiences, and all of the things that have made you who are, so that we can figure out the most healing way to move forward.
Treatment methods
Integrative
My approach to therapy is integrative, primarily incorporating psychodynamic therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. What that means is that we'll work together to understand both why you experience things the way you do, and how you can begin to make meaningful changes.
