My name is Miranda, and I’m a warm, down-to-earth therapist who works with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can take a breath, be yourself, and feel genuinely heard—not another place where you have to have everything figured out. I take a strengths-based, person-centered approach and create a supportive, collaborative space where we can work together toward meaningful change. I believe therapy can be both productive and approachable, with room for a little lightheartedness along the way. I believe self-care looks different for everyone, and I try to make space for the things that bring me joy, connection, and balance. I bring that same perspective into my work with clients. Finding small, meaningful ways to care for yourself can make a big difference, especially during stressful or transitional seasons of life. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected while developing practical tools that fit your everyday life.

What stands out about my approach is that it’s solution-focused, strengths-based, and down-to-earth.

First session

In your first session, we’ll get to know each other, discuss your goals and challenges, and explore your strengths. You’ll have a safe space to share openly, ask questions, and begin building a plan tailored to your needs. This session is the first step toward meaningful, lasting change.

Strengths

What stands out about my approach is that it’s solution-focused, strengths-based, and down-to-earth. I bring warmth, compassion, and a little lightheartedness into sessions, creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself while working through difficult or stressful experiences. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating or overly clinical. It can be a place where you feel supported, understood, and encouraged while also making meaningful progress. I work collaboratively with clients, meeting you where you are and building on the strengths you already have. Together, we’ll explore what may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools that fit naturally into your everyday life. Through mindfulness, self-awareness, and coping strategies, I help clients better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and feel more confident handling life’s ups and downs. My goal is for you to leave therapy not only feeling heard, but also feeling equipped with tools you can carry with you beyond the therapy room.

Ideal clients

I work with adolescents, adults, and families navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional concerns such as anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. I’m best positioned to support clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or are seeking personal growth. I help clients build effective coping skills, improve communication, and strengthen relationships, while empowering them to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.

Treatment methods

Strength-Based

I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build on their existing skills, resilience, and life experiences. In session, I focus on what’s working, highlight progress, and support clients in using their strengths to navigate challenges and reach their goals. This approach promotes confidence, empowerment, and meaningful, lasting change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients notice their thoughts and feelings without judgment, clarify what matters most, and take meaningful action toward their values—building resilience, flexibility, and lasting change.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness to help clients stay present, observe thoughts and emotions without judgment, and cultivate calm and awareness. In sessions, we practice techniques that support clarity, resilience, and intentional, value-driven action.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thoughts and behaviors and replace them with healthier patterns. We build practical coping skills to reduce anxiety, stress, and mood symptoms.
