About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Chicago, IL. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the transformation in my clients' self-concept. This shift in perspective is crucial, especially for those who have been weighed down by feelings of inadequacy or failure. It’s incredible to see how this newfound self-belief translates into resilience, allowing them to bounce back from setbacks and adapt to challenges with greater ease.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In a first session, I create a welcoming and safe environment to build rapport and trust. I begin with open-ended questions to encourage the client to share their story and current challenges. I listen actively, showing empathy and understanding, while gathering essential information about their background, including their personal history, relationships, work, and any previous mental health experiences. I explore their reasons for seeking therapy and their goals. Throughout the session, I validate their feelings and experiences, ensuring they feel heard and respected.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a provider is my comprehensive approach to care, which combines extensive experience with diverse populations, a commitment to continuous education, and an unwavering ability to listen and treat everyone with genuine positive regard. Having worked with individuals from various backgrounds and facing different challenges, I have developed a deep understanding and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each client. My dedication to continuous education ensures that I stay current with the latest therapeutic techniques and best practices, allowing me to provide the most effective and evidence-based care. Above all, my ability to listen actively and empathetically creates a safe and supportive environment for clients. Treating everyone with genuine positive regard, I foster trust and rapport, empowering clients to open up and engage fully in their healing journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with clients who feel like they need to make a change but do not know where or how to start. For those in this stage, I help them explore their motivations and clarify their goals. By providing a safe and non-judgmental space, I encourage them to reflect on their desires and identify the benefits of making changes. I help them address any ambivalence and develop a clear vision for their future. Once they are ready to move forward, I offer continuous support and practical strategies to navigate the change process. I assist them in building on their strengths, maintaining motivation, and overcoming obstacles. My goal is to ensure they feel supported and empowered throughout their journey towards a better version of themselves.

She represented what I was looking for in a therapist—experience, knowledge about how to heal from trauma was what made me try her and after one session, I feel confident I’ve chosen the right support.
