New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who values honesty, connection, and practical support. I work with adults who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what needs to change. I try to create a space where clients can be open without feeling judged or pressured. Therapy with me is conversational, supportive, and focused on helping you better understand yourself and move forward in a way that feels realistic.
The first session is really about getting to know each other and talking through what brought you to therapy. I will ask some questions about what has been going on, what you have already tried, and what you would like to be different. You do not have to come in knowing exactly what to say or what your goals are. We can figure that out together. I want you to leave the first session feeling heard, comfortable, and clear about what our work together may look like.
I bring a calm, honest, and down-to-earth approach to therapy. I am able to sit with people during difficult conversations, but I am also not afraid to ask direct questions or gently challenge patterns when needed. I understand that people are shaped by more than just their individual choices. Relationships, life experiences, stress, and larger systems all play a role. My goal is to help clients feel understood while also giving them useful feedback, practical tools, and support in making meaningful changes.
My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and knows they do not want to keep feeling this way, even if they are unsure where to start. They may be carrying stress, difficult relationships, past experiences, or major life changes. They want a space where they can be fully themselves, feel heard without judgment, and begin making sense of what they are going through while working toward practical, realistic changes at their own pace.
I help clients recognize the strengths they already have, even when those strengths may be difficult for them to see. We look at what has helped them get through hard situations before and build from there. The goal is not to ignore what is difficult, but to help clients feel more confident in their ability to handle challenges and make changes.
I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors affect one another. Together, we look for patterns that may be keeping them stuck and work on more helpful ways of thinking and responding. I try to keep this practical and connected to what is actually happening in the client’s day-to-day life.
